A while back, (about February or thereabouts), there was a thread going 
on about the idea of a crossover between two of Takahashi Rumiko-sensei's 
works:  Ranma 1/2 and Laughing Target (from Rumic World).  I didn't give 
the matter much thought at the time; I wasn't familiar with the latter 
short story.

Not to beat a dead horse (beat it! beat it!  ^_^), but this is where
suggesting fic ideas comes in handy.  Both Uc-chan's fic and my next
Ranmafic are based on the premise that Jeff Shelton put out in March.  I'm
sure neither of us would have thought of such a connection if someone
hadn't had said it.

Just my ten yen (it would normally be two, but both the one and five yen
coins are virtually as useful as the penny is, nowadays....)
