Just a few things I want to make sure of:

1. Did the Manga or Anime ever give a name for the Tendo Mother? I've
seen some fanfics give a name, but want to know if there is an official
name.

Nope never was given as far as I know.

2. Was there any idication in the Manga of when the failed wedding in
Volume 38 took place (i.e. after Ranma and Akane finished their freshmen
year or a particular month).

Well, no date was ever given and since, no birthdays
are ever celebrated and Ranma and Akane are still
in their first year of high school and R&A are still
16, one would think that less than a year has passed.

Exactly how long the series takes is one of those
things (I suspect) that Takahashi-sama has left up to
the fans.

But here are some hard numbers from which to make
a good guess.

Valentines was celebrated in typical Japanese fashion
in Vol.34

So Vol. 35 takes place the following spring as Akane
and Nabiki no longer wear the uniform jacket so it
must be warm enough to not need it. The last chapter
of Vol. takes place during Tanabata which is in July.

Then Vol. 36 takes place that summer and when they
return to school they are waering the summer uniforms.
Short-sleeved shirts for the guys and the blouse with
the short puff sleeves for the girls and no jacket.

The last image of the manga has Akane wearing the
long sleeved uniform blouse but no jacket, so the
waether has turned cooler, probably late summer or
early fall.

Since, the start of the Japanese school year is in
April, take it that R & A have moved up a grade.
Plus, Nabiki is still in high school so at most just
one year has passed.

3. What was Nadoka's reason for having marry Akane over Ukyo in the
Manga.

My guess is that Akane's engagement was the one most
honorably entered into. Ukyou's was the result of
Genma's greed, Shampoo was by accident and Kodachi
is not a fiancee.

Also, I don't think that Nodoka has ever given a
reason. Also in Vol. 36 Nodoka does favor Akane
given that pillbox story.

4. The Hiryu Shoten Ha: Did Ranma ever learn to use it without tapping
an enemies energy and forcing them into a spiral?

Well in the fight with Saffron Ranma used the Dragon
staff to make a spiral pattern of ice on the ground
around him to start off that massive Hiryu Shoten Ha
wherein Ranma and Saffron fought their final battle.

5. Anyone have official or approximate bust sizes for the Ranma girls
(anime and Manga since they are different). Trust me, I need this for a
fanfic...not for my own gratification.

Well, Vol. 34 Ranma is shown to have a bigger bust
than Akane and just after Akane has had discovered
the her need to buy new bras because she has grown
up some more.

My guess would be that Akane has about a 34A, Ranma
(girl form) about 36B, guessed because when Happy
put Akane's bra on Ranma is was tight enough to be
uncomfortable. Nabiki is about 36A and Kasumi about
36A as well. Also the latter two have also probably
finished growing already.

Those are my guesstimates for the manga. For the anime
I would add a couple of inches as well as moving up
one cup size.

"You made Akane whose daughter?!?!"
"Genma's."
"Has she hit you with her mallet yet?"
"Several times, actually."

So, any tips from Ranma on how to make the pain pass
faster?^_^
