Another thing that's never been done, 
suppose Genma did take Ukyou with him and 
Ranma, only when she grew up NEITHER one 
of them wanted to get married after all.  In every 
story where Ukyou goes with Ranma at age 6, 
the two grow up together and fall madly in love 
and either get married, or one of them dies and 
the other becomes psychotic.  Suppose instead 
they both grew up together and thought of each 
other as brother and sister, with neither of them 
desiring to actually push their relationship toward 
romance.

Now THIS would definitely solve many of the problems associated with
Ranma choosing a fiancee, as well as solving many of my personal problems
about how authors deal with the Ukyou/Ranma situation.  I think the
closest I've seen someone come to this idea is Hunter Kid's "Mirror
Images".  Any other fics fit the bill?  And for any of you authors
lacking an idea, why don't some of you try this one out?  Ja.
