Ok, I _really_ don't want this to be considered a flame.  There _are_ some
things about the story that I think must be said, however.  (*sigh*)
Keeping that in mind...

First off, I understand having to 'tone down' the martial arts and
silliness from Ranma 1/2 in a crossover like this (otherwise the aliens
would get stomped by a crowd of women chasing Happosai or some nonsense).

However, Ranma wasn't moving anywhere _near_ his normal speed, he's
supposedly shocked at the size of Glator when there have been larger
characters in the series, and he gapes when an alien climbs up the side of
a building.  (This from a guy who goes roof-hopping regularly?  I don't
think so.)  He doesn't even use the 'Mouko Takabisha' or 'Hiryu Shoten
Ha' in the story.  Ranma's curse isn't mentioned even _once_ that I
noticed.  I also seriously doubt that Ranma would ever use a gun.  He
certainly wouldn't know how to use one properly enough for the MIB to
issue him one.  (He may be very good at learning martial arts, but I've
not seen any evidence to suggest that he can pick up anything else at a
fast rate.)

There are other examples of such things with the other characters.
(Konatsu especially seemed to be weak in this story.)  Honestly, this
seems like a Men in Black story with some martial artists added who have
little in common with the original characters besides their names.

Worst of all, _Kasumi_ using a gun?!  BLASPHEMY!!!

[Pi takes several deep breaths]

When you introduce such a change in a character, there needs to be a
supporting reason for the change.  (A very substantial one in a case such
as this.)

(Now, Kasumi using a kitchen knife or chainsaw is another matter... :)

Ok, now that I've said all that...

I _do_ think the story was well written, but it just didn't have any of
the 'flavor' of a Ranma 1/2 story to me.
