Is there any evidence that Kodachi and Gosunkugi have ever actually

met? Would they be likely to co-operate in any joint ventures? Usual
drill, private email, I will sumarise the answers and post them for the
benefit of all


Thanks to all of you who replied. As promised, here are the most useful
answers from various sources collated for the benefit of minasama. FYI,
I take the (untranslated) manga as canon, mainly because I have no VCR,
and like to give myself more work than I need to with reading (plus, I
don't trust Viz translations). Apparently, the language is the original
is, ah, a little less likely to keep the censors happy.

Yes they've met. Gos once took some incriminating pictures of Ranma and
Kodachi got them from him. Gos would do as he was told if Kodachi wanted
him to do something as long as it didn't seem likely to harm Akane.
However, it's unlikely that Kodachi would need him for anything much.

Yes, indeedy, they've met. When Kodachi tried to get Ranma to eat her
cookies, and took Akane's cookies to stop her from doing the same,
Gosunkugi took a picture of Ranma fallen on top of Kodachi, in a
compromising position. Kodachi asked for copies of the negatives. Later
it was revealed that the photograph had been doctored to make it look
even more incriminating--I'd assume this must have been Gosunkugi's
work.

Possibly. I can see Kodachi financing Gosunkugi's magical research to
help Kodachi get Ranma and Gosunkugi to get Akane, although I think the
Black Rose might backstab Gosunkugi so as to eliminate Akane entirely.

In the Manga Kodachi and Tatewaki treat Gosunkugi with the same disdain
and contempt that Sasuke gets in the Anime. Gosunkugi does show a few
flashes of independence, but is basically bullied by the Kunous whenever
they feel like it.

As far as co-operation goes, it would probably be more like exploitation
than a partnership. I suspect Gosunkugi is frightened of Kodachi--who
wouldn't be? But as long as their goals are complementary, why not work
together?
