2) He still has to win that inevitable match, simply 
because you'll be flamed otherwise.  ^_^  Seriously, 
keep in mind that Ranma's going to go up against 
nasty fighters.  He may need creative methods of 
fighting to win, seeing as most fighters at the top 
level of the the World Warrior tourney are just as 
powerful as he is.

On the same token, though, remember that he's gone up against people like
Kirin, Herb, and Saffron.  While it's questionable whether or not those
three are better than the higher echelon members of the Street Fighter
curcuit (please, PLEASE no one start a thread about this), I figure
they're at least close to them in skill and experience.  So while I am
absolutely sure Ranma would have a VERY hard time going up against people
like Ryu, Chun Li, Guile, etc., and that he'd have less than favorable
odds, I still think he'd have a chance of winning.  And with him fighting
in the lower levels of the curcuit, I see him improving A LOT.  Not that
I'm saying you were saying something to the contrary, Nick.  Ja.
