I went to a marvellous party
Hikaru Gosunkugi was there.
He drank away two cans of beer
And then passed out on the stair.

Okay.... first line is fairly decent, and second line has
matching scansion... but line 3 and 4 are only 8 and 7 beats
respectively.... when the first 2 lines are 9. ^^; Don't take offense,
I'm just a litereature buff.

I went to a marvellous party.
Mihohshi really is quite thick.
Two pints of cider, saki and Guinness-
She spent the rest of the night being sick.

*Groans* Oh, Kami... THIS is bad, though..... I might have
expected same format, 9,9,8,7..... but THIS is terrible.... 9,8,10,10????

I went to a marvellous party-
Akane catered for all.
Thank heavens Kasumi helped her out,
Else the prospect would appall.

*Groans and screams* GOOD GODS!!! WHAT HAS BECOME OF ENGLISH!
9,7,9,7!??!?!

Right. You've got the idea.
Let's see what you can come up with.

The Novocastrian Samurai:
Is in a very funny mood.

*Cracks Knuckles* Okay... for all you hosers out there that don't
know what scansion is, it is the amount of beats per line. Every word
has a certain number of syllables, in Poetry, Scansion is the number of
syllables per line. GOOD poetry desires a Constant pattern in the
scansion.
Such as 9,9,9,8.... successively. There *MUST* be a pattern for
it to be good poetry.... just commenting. *Bows*
I should really post my "Ranma:Silver Pails" A Parody of the
Christmas Song "Silver Bells". The Scansion took me about 15 minutes....
but I managed. *Grins*

Sincerely.....
