A while ago.. (as in a couple of years ago) people

out.. does anyone remember the series (this was
95 or 96) was it ever finished.. and would you like
to see it again? and how so? (teams of characters

All-Star team vs a team of readers)?

Hmm, IMO, an interesting idea. It's kinda strange that, in a country
(Japan) that is so in love with baseball, we see so little of it in anime
(not sure about manga). I think the only time I've seen a baseball scene
was in SailorMoon ep. (hmmm....) 187. Anyone remember that episode? And
how about the one before that, ne? Now that ep was funny as hell.

Err, anyway, back to the idea. I think the ideal baseball fic for me
would definitely include a bunch of major leaguers. It would be better
if we could include a bunch of players from the Japanese league, but I
have no idea who they are. Of course, if you decide to use major
leaguers, it's going to be hard as hell to choose who you want to be on
the team. I mean, at most, there's... what, 20-30 open slots and that's
about it. Are we going to have some sort of balloting on the list? Or
is that frowned upon? And then what about the anime team? Who would
play on that team? I think it would definitely have to include the
women; I can't really see Akane or... Priss or Lina letting just the boys
play. And you'll probably have the same problem as with the major league
team -- who do you choose to put on the team?

I think the best solution would be to make up at least a handful of major
league teams, and a handful of anime teams, and put together some kind of
tournament or world series. It would take a really long time to finish,
but I think that way, you get to use everyone (or at least close to
everyone).

An inherently good idea, but one that would be hard to implement, IMO.
But I'm still all for it. If you have any questions as to what I was
babbling about, just write me. Ja.
