Okayama Prefecture, Japan.

Well, that's where their names come from anyway. Devil's Rock and the Taro
Shrine are the insprations for Ryoko's cave and the Masaki Shrine. Mihoshi
and Kiyone are named after towns, Yosho and Washu are named after mountains,
Azaka & Kamidake are remote countryside locations, and Sasami is named after
Sami Beach (The extra "sa" at the beginning of her name means "sand").

sites, as well as photos of them, and a virtual tour of the Taro Shrine,
on which the Masaki Shrine is based.

Hassheen!
