[The scene opens to a gleaming motorcycle standing outside an old Shinto
temple. A girl emerges from the temple, clad in the shimmering white
robes of a goddess first class. She is followed by a short young man in
formal (if such a concept is not oxymoronic) black denim and leather.
[Keiichi (for it is he, after all) walks over to the front of the cycle,
putting the kickstand up on his way, and places his hand on the front
wheel rim to hold the cycle steady so that Belldandy (did you even *need*
to be told?) can get on. As she sets her hand upon the seat, there is a
rumble of thunder, and the two young people look up at the sky. Instead
of a dark threatening sky, however, a brilliant shaft of white light
pierces down to the ground and envelopes Belldandy. A dove flutters down
from the highest heavens, slowly circling the beam, and finally alights
on Belldandy's shoulder.
[She smiles at the dove, and with a single graceful, fluid motion, she
mounts the cycle. She turns and trains her smile onto her companion;
and as he walks over to board the cycle himself, the camera pans from
the wheelrim where his hand had been only a moment before to the wheel
underneath. We can read the logo...]
