Beautiful.  I loved the way the story kept switching from the past to the
present.  Now that's a reason I can accept for Ranma and Kasumi getting
together.  Kasumi's simple nature is so appealing and yet so pristine. 
It's exactly like how you put it: "She was the only one who never asked
for anything".  So willing to give, yet never demanding.  Everyone Ranma
had known has demanded something from him.  Soun to marry one of his
daughters.  Nabiki to help her earn money.  Cologne to marry her
granddaugther.  Happosai to wear a bra.  The fiancees and suitors to
marry them.  And on.  It was Kasumi alone who never asked or demanded
anything of Ranma.  *clap clap*  It would be nice for you to continue
this, and show reaction from the others.  Although that might detract
from the simple beauty of this story.
