The fanfics flying around the list lately have been... interesting. About
the only remotely plausible thing I haven't seen is a Ranma / onna-Ranma
matchup, and Gary Kleppe has managed to do that, in a sense, in his final
prologue to "Hearts and Minds".

(By the way, if the prologues are that good, I can hardly wait for the story
itself.)

However, no one has yet mentioned the logical predecessor to these stories,
which would be an odd little set of four, combined into one file on the RAAC
archives (ftp.cs.ubc.ca/pub/archive/Anime-Fan-Works is the address, I
believe) and titled, appropriately, "Non-Canonical Matchups". While the
author doesn't pair EVERYONE off, something vaguely resembling a
relationship blossoms between Kasumi and Ryoga (long story), Akane and
Mousse (longer story), Ranma and Shampoo (interesting story), and Ukyo and
Dr. Tofu (the explanation would probably be LONGER than the story). While
admittedly not as twisted as recent events have made such fics seem, they
are nonetheless quite interesting, and I urge you to read them.
