Before we begin, I have a request to make.

Since this is the chapter where Lina Inverse appears, I need to learn
how to spell her Spells.

Fire Ball, Flare Arrow, Ice Arrow, Levitation, Dragon Slave... those
are easy. It's the others I'm not sure of the spellings of. EX. Is
it Digger Bolt? Diger Bolt? Amecial Lance? I've only got the
Slayers dubs... and while they're good dubs, the actors tend to
mumble when it comes to the spells. Can anyone help me?

As always, C&C appreciated, MSTs adored, Flames printed out and
stomped on. Pop-Up reviews read with interest.

SILVER MILLENNIUM STORY
by the Flashman

{Opening theme}
Breaking through the shining clouds
I fly away (Fly away)
Filling up my body with a spreading panorama
I turn my face to the Earth I left behind
And feel its rage (Feel its rage)
Making volcanos blow apart before my eyes
If deep inside the melting ice I find a dinosaur
Then I'll want to try and ride on top of it
Cha la
Head Cha la
Come what may I feel
That I can handle anything
Cha la
Head Cha la
My heart's pounding so hard
Like a screaming ball of life
Cha la
Head Cha la
My head's holding nothing now
Except for all of my dreams
Cha la
Head Cha la
With the smile of the Ultra Z
Today I'm gonna fly-yai-yai-yai-yai
SPARKLING!

Part 3: I'M *NOT* HERE TO HELP

When he returned through the hole in the wall the Soul Priest had
made, Sekai frowned as he looked around at the destruction the army
of Hell Hounds had caused to the grounds surrounding the palace of
the Moon Kingdom. Holes from the Senshis' attacks on the beasts, as
well as giant foot prints that would trip someone if they weren't
careful, littered the ground. Occasionally, there would be a white
scorch mark to signify where a Hell Hound had been killed, as well as
the shredded corpses of guardsmen who had not been skilled enough to
deal with the monsters and their life blood stained the grass.
The palace itself came away with only a few holes in the walls and a
shattered window here and there, but Sekai knew the greatest damage
had not been done to the palace. It had been done to one of its
inhabitants.
He knew that Serenity had refused to let her daughter go ever since
she had returned to the throne room and was currently holding the
infant in an attempt to both comfort the child and stifle her own
grief.
It was times like that, that made Sekai glad he wasn't really the
all powerful warrior he sometimes boasted to be. Serenity and the
Sailor Senshi had all that power, and the Soul Priests had found a
way around it.
Then and there, he made a vow that if he ever ran into another one
of their kind, he'd find out how they did it... after some "creative"
interrogation of course.
Someone next to him said, "It never ends, does it?"
Sekai turned to his left but saw no one. Then he looked down and
saw the one who had spoken. It was a small black cat with a crescent
moon marking on its forehead. "What do you mean by that, Luna?" he
asked.
Luna hopped up onto Sekai's shoulder and said, "I'm just saying,
just when we think that all the chaos of the recent years are over,
something like this happens."
Sekai frowned, but understood the black moon cats' bitterness.
During the Baranoia War, the Machine Empire had attacked the moon and
Luna's mate, Artemis, had been slain along with the Queen during the
assault. Then, to make matters worse, during the Ankoshin War,
Luna's daughter, Diana, who had been accompanying a diplomatic envoy,
had been killed in the demons initial strikes against the planet.
"Things'll get better," Sekai replied, though his voice didn't sound
very convincing, "I hope."
"You're probably right," Luna said, "because there's not much room
for them to get worse."

Two days passed while the investigation continued and suddenly, on
the third day...

Sekai found himself summoned to the throne room and Serenity, while
rocking the sleeping Chibi-Usa, who was wrapped in a lily white
blanket, explained the situation to him. After a long pause, Sekai
walked over to Pluto, took the small, palm sized, red crystal shard
that was in her hands, examined it and asked, "This little thing is
going to find them?"
The Guardian of Time nodded and replied, "Once on Earth, there will
be an area of light on the crystal. When it is at the very tip, you
are heading in the right direction of their base."
Serenity then said, "Thank you Sailor Pluto. You may go."
The Senshi of time bowed once before taking her leave. Sekai
examined the crystal some more, looked up... and noticed that he was
alone with the Queen in the room.
Sekai scanned the room in confusion and asked, "Hey, where'd
everybody go?"
"My apologies," Serenity said, "but what I must say to you next can
not be heard by any other ears. There is a reason you were chosen to
go on this mission."
"I know," Sekai replied in a tone that made it sound like he was
reciting a passage from a text book, "Since the enemy was able to
block the Senshi from noticing them, you're worried that there's a
possibility that they could also find a way to cancel out the
Senshi's powers. Besides, the Earth governments, even though their
king is on the Moon Kingdom throne, would get nervous if you sent a
balation of soldiers to their world.
"That cover it?" Sekai asked with a slight grin.
"Partially," Serenity said, "However, the skill and utter
completeness of their block, leads us to believe..." Serenity paused,
as what she said next was very difficult for her, "... that one of
the Senshi might be a traitor."
Sekai's lips became a thin line as he pondered that possibility...
and what it entailed. "I apologize," Serenity said as she stood, "I
shall have a shuttle prepared to take you to Earth, at once."
"Serenity," Sekai called out as the Queen started to leave.
The ruler of the Silver Millennium turned and Sekai walked up to her
and asked as he held out his arms, "Can't I at least say good bye to
the one I'm doing this for?"
Serenity smiled as she held out the bundle and Sekai took it. He
rocked the child and made cooing sounds at it as the baby Chibi-Usa
looked up at him, opening her large red eyes and made one little
gurgle of pleasure before falling back to sleep. Sekai then looked
up at Serenity again and asked, "And how about my Guardian?"
The two hugged awkwardly, as they had to make sure that they didn't
crush the small life between them. "Fare thee well Sekai," Serenity
said as she took back her child and left the room, "and may the Gods
speed you on your way."

	An hour later...

Saturn slept in her bed, the earth light pouring in the window and
framing her features. From the shadows of the doorway, Sekai smiled
softly as he watched her sleep. He steathly made his way over to her,
kissed her on the forehead once and whispered, "Bye mom."
Saturn fidgeted once, stretched out, and fell back into a deeper
sleep...
But this time, a small smile was on her face.

	An hour following that...

From the space port, the gigantic, white, wedge-shaped, crystal
shuttle launched from the Moon Kingdom and slowly headed to Earth.
Sekai, who was strapped in his seat, let his thoughts wander as he
went over the specifics of his plan. "Can't do this alone," he
thought, "and if one of the Senshi is a traitor, then I can't bring
in warriors from other planets without the possibility of whoever it
is getting a warning off to the enemy.
"I'll just have to see if I can recruit any native talent."
He looked out the window and regarded the blue, white and green ball
that was his ultimate destination. "Why did it have to be Earth?"
the King Ranger in training thought, "I HATE Earth."

After two more hours of flight, the shuttle landed at the Earth
space port. The door opened on the side of the ship while Sekai
reached into the overhead compartment above his seat and removed his
backpack. Slinging it over his shoulder, Sekai then stepped in line
with the others and made his way out into the space port.
The port was chaotic, to say the least. People seemed to be going
no where, yet were always moving as the large masses were crushed
together and from the sidelines, the shouts of vendors selling their
wares could be heard slightly over the din of the thousands of casual
conversations that took place at once. Sekai found himself
apologizing more then once as he bumped into people accidently as he
tried to make his way through the crowd of people in the dark, smoky,
wooden port.
"Terrans," he muttered under his breath when he finally got through
the choking mass of humanity and exited the building to the dirt
street, where he was assaulted by the heat of the noon day sun.
He dug into his pocket and was about to check the crystal, when
someone behind him said in a soft voice, "Excuse me... but are you
from the planet Saturn?"
Lowering his right arm to his King Staff, making sure the gesture
didn't appear threatening, but making sure he was ready just in case
a problem arose, Sekai turned around to face whoever had spoken and
asked, "My mother is. Why do you ask?"
He then had to look down, as the person, obviously a woman by how
her outfit fit her, was much shorter then him by a good foot and a
half.
She was wearing a robe that was loose fitting around the stomach,
arms, and legs, yet seemed to accent her hips and chest, and had a
hood which hid her face. "I ask," the mysterious woman replied,
"because I wanted to confirm what my senses were telling me. You are
the one we have been waiting for."
	"'We'?"
"My husband and I. I know that the entire Silver Millennium is in
peril from what you have come here to fight and the two of us shall
lend our aid."
"How can I trust you? Who are you? Who's this husband of yours?"
"Our names should be familiar. I am Nakoruru. My husband is named
Haoumaru."
Sekai frowned as he thought, "I'm not on Earth for five minutes and
already, Ankoshin's ghost tries to haunt me."
Aloud, he said, in a neutral tone, "I've heard of you."
"Please," Nakoruru said, "come with me. We have food for you at our
home."
Sekai replied, "You still haven't proven I can trust you."
"Think of it this way. If we are your enemies, then if we try to
attack you, you might be able to defeat us and be one step closer to
your goal. If we are friends, then you will have help in defeating
the Soul Priest's... and the true horror which manipulates them."
The young man could not think of a rebuke to that and said, "Very
well. Lead the way."
The two of them began to move through the small town of taverns,
inns, forges and other places of business, kicking up dust with every
step as they went down the street. They had just passed a
particularly dark alley, when, from it, there came a cry of,
"HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLP!!!!"
Sekai stopped in his tracks and said to Nakoruru, "Excuse me a
second, I need to shake off some this space lag."
Before the guardian of nature could say anything, the King Ranger in
training pulled his weapon free of the holster on his side and raced
into the dark, damp alley. He immediately saw five, tough looking
men, chuckling as they closed in on a small, yet incredibly cute, red
haired woman dressed in a pink, frilly dress. "Hold it!" he called
out as he jumped over the men and stood as a shield between them and
the woman, "I'll admit you've got good taste, but where I come from,
it's customary to have a woman's permission before you do what you
bad boys are planning."
"Oooo," the leader, a large, muscular, bald man with a scar running
from the top of his head on the left side down to his eye, replied in
a sarcastic tone, "A hero man. We're frightened."
Moving fast, Sekai raced forward and punched the man on the head
goons left. Then he kicked the person to the head goons right. Then,
using the flat end of the King Staff, he smacked the other two men
behind the leader. Sekai had moved so fast, that all the bald man
saw, was Sekai standing there one second, and the next, his followers
collapsing into unconsciousness. "Wha..." was all the man said.
Sekai suddenly was standing right in his face and the hero said,
"Boo."
The goon, while large, lost much of his courage as he turned and ran.
Sekai just started to grin, when the woman behind him yelled, "FIRE
BALL!"
Sekai went wide eyed as a ball of flame shot over his shoulder and
blasted the bald, scarred man as he reached the opening of the alley.
The man screamed in pain and collapsed to the ground, before burning
to ash. Sekai whirled to face the woman, but she was already in his
face and yelling, "You IDIOT! Don't you know a trap when you see one?
! I've been trying to collect the reward on the creep for a month
and YOU ruined it!!!"
"Ummmm..." was all Sekai's mouth said as his brain could only
process the cliche of, "Wow, she's cute when she's angry."
"I couldn't let him get away and hurt more innocent girls, but I
needed some kind of proof that I killed him! WHAT KIND OF PROOF CAN
I GET NOW?!!"
The anger on the woman's face intensified, then vanished as she
added in a much gentler tone, "Although, I liked the 'you've got good
taste' remark, so I'll let ya live."
Two more people raced into the alley. One of them was Nakoruru,
with her traveling robe removed and her short sword drawn. Next to
her was a tall man with long, wild blond hair, dressed in blue and
silver armor and carrying a large sword at the ready. "Yo Lina," the
man said, "what happened?"
	"Is all well?" Nakoruru asked.
"Hey..." Sekai said as something hit him, "Did he just call you Lina?
As in Lina Inverse? The powerful black sorceress?"
"Yep," Lina replied, "that's me. You've heard of me?"
"Yeah. They say you're almost as powerful as a Sailor Senshi, have
the temperament of a Jupitarian with a hang over, are quite reckless
and destructive, built like a stick and have zero chest."
Lina started to glow with magical energy but it faded as Sekai
quickly added, "Although I can see those last two are ugly lies."
"Boy," the blond muttered to Nakoruru, "this guy needs glasses."
Lina then raced over to the blond and planted her fist into his face
as she growled, "Zip it, Goury!"
As Goury doubled over, clutching his face, Sekai thought, "If what
I've heard about Lina Inverse is true, she'd be a great help with my
mission. Besides... I think I'd like to get to know her better."
	"Miss Inverse..." Sekai began.
The sorceress interrupted, "Call me Lina."
"Lina," Sekai amended, "I'm here from the Moon Kingdom on a mission
of great importance. I and my partner," he indicated Nakoruru,
"would greatly appreciate the assistance of you and your partner."
"Sorry pal," Lina said as she started to walk away, "I'm not here to
help. If there's no money involved, I'm not interested."
Sekai felt himself start to panic and before he knew what he was
doing, he said, "I've been authorized to pay you fifteen billion gold
coins for your assistance!"
As soon as the words left Sekai's mouth, he thought, "That's pocket
change for the Moon Kingdom... but Serenity is still going to kill me.
"
Goury's jaw hit the ground in awe at the amount of money as Lina
stopped, turned around and exclaimed, "DEAL!"

	Elsewhere....

The three head Soul Priests were gathered around their golden alter,
praying. As they did so, a chestnut haired woman with green eyes and
wearing a plain blue dress that looked like rags, slowly entered the
room by opening a gigantic, emaculate, oak double door, her naked
feet slapping against the white stone floor and echoing through the
room. She bowed to the priests and whispered, "Your Eminences..."
The three priests, in perfect unison, looked up and the first one
asked, "What is so important..."
The second picked up without missing a beat, "... that you would
interrupt..."
The third continued, "... us while we pray to our saviour?"
The slave girl replied, "We have a visitor. The one you have been
expecting."
	"Bring..."
	"... her..."
	"... in."
A womans' voice behind the slave girl, hidden in the shadows of the
room, said, "I am already here."
The High Soul Priests looked at the slave girl.
	"Leave..."
	"... us..."
	"... now."
The slave bowed and took her leave.
"I can not stay long," the new female said, "I fear that they may
soon discover me."
	"Then tell..."
	"... us your..."
	"... news, quickly."
The woman nodded and said, "The Moon Kingdom has sent the one who
your spells can not block. He is currently headed this way and will
be gathering warriors to fight with him."
	"We thank you..."
	"... for your assistance..."
	"... fair lady."
"I must go," the one who was currently betraying all she had sworn
to uphold, said as she headed for the open door, "we may not be able
to communicate again for some time. Use this information well."
Then she was gone, and the Soul Priests began to plan.
