How about redoing it where Ranma wishes that his first meeting with Akane
had gone better and he's sent back to repeat that first day over and over
again, ala Groundhog Day?

That's a great idea, but there's no need to rewrite this fic in order
to do it.  I think he's going in an interesting direction -- both
this and Lord Archive's "Second Chances" are doing something that I've
seen little of in the 3 years I've been reading fanfics, which is 
putting the onus on Akane and giving her the responsibility to make
and then unmake the change.  As far as I know, this is a new direction
and theme to take, and there's no need to wipe it out just to express
a different idea, no matter how good it is.
