think I'll rant a little here. I hope it's organized. ^_^;

Ah, a fine rant, sir. It was a veritable beacon, lighting the way
towards a finer understanding of this topic.

It was written by the immortal Twoflower. What did you expect? ;)

Now, who's this Pratchett guy?

Hm, don't know about Pratchett; I've always admired Weis and
Hickman, and Robert Jordan. I also look up to Doenime/Loader,
Perry, Lawson, Gagne, Biles, RpM, and a host of other great
fanfic writers. Maybe it's just because they, unlike me, can
actually *finish* a story; I dunno. ;)

Wakatta, Hunter-san. To tell you the truth, more often than not, I'll go
ahead and pick a completed series over one that's just beginning any day.
 It's completely unfair, but logical. I mean, why go and start something
that has the chance of never being finished when you can read a series
from start to finish? Not to single ANYONE out, but it's just annoying
to get caught up in a fic and realize the author hasn't written addition
parts to it in over half a year. That's one sure way of turning a
potential reader off of your work big time. Anyway, that's my rant for
the day.  Ja.
