Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Ranma
[Writer's foreword: This is the nineteenth episode of Bishoujo Senshi
Sailor Ranma fan fiction series. It was originally based on a fan-drawn
artwork by the same name. It shows the Ranma girls (Ranma, Akane,
Ukyou, Shampoo, and Kodachi) in Sailor Senshi outfits. It was displayed
at Anime America '93, and AKon IV and is available via mail order.

A couple of things I need to say. This is *not* a Ranma fanfic with
Sailor Moon guest-starring. It is *not* a Sailor Moon fanfic with a
Ranma guest-star. This is an independent parody fiction that combines
the elements of both. As such, it will sometimes contradict established
facts, characteristics and situations of both series. I can assure you
that most of it is deliberate.

[Cut to the Dark Kingdom. In the middle of the gigantic chamber, Queen
Beryl is seated on a throne. Standing before her, a horde of faceless
minions mindlessly chant their obedience with Beryl's every command.]
Queen Beryl: [Angrily.] Nephrite! I am very displeased with your
performance! You have failed to defeat the Senshi! Most importantly,
you have failed to discover the location of the missing Princess!
Nephrite: [Bows.] Moushiwake arimasen*. It is true that I have
allowed those infernal Senshi to distract me from my goals. However, I
promise that I can do better.
*I have no excuse (politely)
Queen Beryl: And what would this promise entail?
Nephrite: [Determined.] I will use the Kurozuishou to find the
Princess once and for all. Please give me this chance to redeem myself.
Queen Beryl: [After a moment's consideration.] Very well. Find and
eliminate the Jyusenkyou Princess and you will be redeemed. Fail and
you will suffer the consequences!
Nephrite: [Angrily to himself.] Sailor Senshi me...

[Cut to the next day at Tofu-sensei's office. Present are Ranko, Akane,
Ukyou, Kodachi, P-chan and Tofu. They are talking over some
okonomiyaki.]
Ukyou: We saw you yesterday on TV.
Kodachi: It was... impressive.
Akane: Please, forgive us for not believing you.
Ranko: That's OK. There's nothing to forgive.
Ukyou: By the way, Ranko-chan, what kind of hold did the possessed
Nabiki have on you?
Ranko: Eh? Uh... That...
Kodachi: Your identity?
Ranko: What? How did you...
Kodachi: You wouldn't appear as Sailor Moon otherwise.
Akane: You're pretty observant, aren't you, Kodachi?
Kodachi: [Laughing lightly.] We aim to please. [Turning dreamy.] Now
if only I can find out what that evil youma had over my Ranma-sama...
Ukyou: Why do you keep saying, "your Ranma-sama"? I've said over and
over that he's my Ran-chan!
Akane: Will you two stop fighting over that idiot!
Ukyou: Why? Afraid we'll get him, Akane-chan?
Kodachi: That's right! You don't own Ranma-sama!
Ranko: [Firm tone.] We don't need this right now.
[Akane, Ukyou, and Kodachi shut up.]
P-chan: That's right. [To Ranko.] I'm more interested in knowing that
thing you pulled on the youma.
Ranko: What thing? [P-chan just stares at Ranko.] You mean how I
dispatched that youma? [P-chan nods.] I... Er...
Tofu: I don't think she can explain it.
Akane, Ukyou, Kodachi, and P-chan: Eh?
Tofu: A lot of the things you do are instinctive. For example, [To
Kodachi.] can you explain how you did your flower hurricane?
Kodachi: I... [Thinks.] can't.
Tofu: Exactly. None of you have had sufficient training to be able to
explain exactly what you did. Maybe the Sailor Senshi of old can, but
you can't. At least not yet.
P-chan: Speaking of old things, how is your progress in finding the
princess?
Tofu: [Nods.] I believe I have something. [Goes to the back room and
brings back an old tome. He carefully puts the tome down and opens it
to a marked section.] This story tells about one of the important
battles between the Dark Kingdom and the Jyusenkyou Kingdom.
[Start explanatory flashback.]
VO Tofu: It was one of the pivotal battles...
[Cut to the palace. The courtyard is torn with the marks of battle.
Several soldiers are sprawled on the ground and one lone Senshi stands
between a General and the castle entrance.]
VO Tofu: One lone Sailor Senshi fought bravely, with everything she
could...
[The single Senshi dodges blast after blast, trying to retaliate without
success.]
VO Tofu: ...but the power of the General was too much for her.
[The single Senshi collapses, her wounds overcoming her courage. The
General proceeds to enter the castle, but stops when he sees the
Princess. Summoning his power, the General prepares his supreme attack
and aims at the Princess.]
VO Tofu: However, at the last second Prince Ventus Orientalis arrived
to see his beloved in mortal peril. Without a moment's concern for his
own safety...
[The huge energy ball heads towards the Princess. Just before it can
make contact, the Prince throws himself in front of the blast, taking
the blow.]
[Cut back to Tofu's office. The girls listen with awe as Tofu finishes
the tale. Even P-chan is noticeably impressed.]
Akane: H-he gave his life for his true love? S-sugoi...
Ukyou: Th... that's so romantic...
Ranko: D-did he survive?
Tofu: Well, the story doesn't say. I've seen references elsewhere
mentioning that the rest of the Senshi returned in time to help.
Akane: This was some time before the Queen used their ultimate weapon,
wasn't it?
Ukyou: That's irrelevant, isn't it?
Akane: But I remember the prince being mentioned when the Queen was
about to use their ultimate weapon. He must have survived!
Tofu: I wouldn't be too sure with these stories, Akane. The story does
mention that just before he passed out, the Prince begged the Senshi to
keep fighting and protect the Princess.
Kodachi: Even when he's so hurt, he was only thinking of her? [Eyes go
cloudy.] He reminds me of my sempai!
[Everyone facefaults.]
Ranko: [Upset.] You're ruining the mood!
Tofu: [Almost to himself.] When I first read it, I was also moved. I
kept thinking that the Prince must have really loved the Princess. He
cared so much that he was ready to give his life for her. I thought
about how much courage he had and I found myself asking, "would I have
had the courage to make that choice?" I found myself wondering, "what
would it be like to love someone so much?"
P-chan: A good story, but I don't see where it can help us with our
search for the princess.
Ranko: Well, at least Tofu-sensei found something about the Princess.
[Turns meaningfully towards P-chan.] Unlike some other party I could
mention.
[P-chan glares at Ranko.]
Tofu: I�m sure I can gather more clues after examining this book in
more detail. However-
Kodachi: [Dramatically.] Such a moving story... You must be made of
stone if you can just ignore it!
[Everyone bigsweat.]
Ukyou: [Whispering to Akane.] Is she always like this?
Akane: [Whispering to Ukyou.] Beats me.
Ranko: In any case, all of us [Pausing to look at P-chan who snorted in
reply.] will keep a lookout for the princess. We'll notify each other
of any progress.
Ukyou: Sounds good.
[The other girls nod in agreement.]
Tofu: [Looking at his watch.] You girls better go home. It's late
enough. [Patting the old tome.] I'll see what I can find tonight and
tell you tomorrow, Akane.
Akane: [Puzzled look.] Eh?
Tofu: Oh, I forgot. [Glasses starting to fog.] Kasumi invited me to
dine at her house tomorrow. Something about thanking me for the books I
lent her.
Akane: [Nervously.] Sure. I'll look forward to seeing you, sensei.
Ranko: [Also nervously.] And you can keep the rest of us informed,
right Akane?
Akane: [Starting to usher Ukyou and Kodachi out.] Sure. No problem,
Ranko.
Ranko: [Urging the other girls to hurry.] Well, we better be going,
sensei. Oyasumi.
Akane: Ja ne, sensei!
[The girls rapidly exit the clinic. Once outside, Kodachi rounds on
Ranko and Akane.]
Kodachi: That was horribly rude of you to run out on him!
Ranko: Too long a story. We need to go. Now!
Ukyou: I've never seen it first hand, but these two has told me the
reason. You're going my way, right? I can tell you the story, if
without the full conviction that Ranko-chan and Akane-chan have.
Kodachi: [Sighing.] Lead the way...
[The girls disperse. Cut to the view of a spooky-looking alley. A
hot-red Ferrari stops right at the entrance and Nephrite exits the car.
He strides purposefully into the alley. As he arrives is an unusually
dark area of the alley, he pulls out something from his tunic. After
muttering some incantation, Nephrite releases the Kurozuishou to float
freely in front of him. He closes his eyes as he starts his gestures.]
Nephrite: Kurozuishou... show me where the Jyusenkyou power is. Show
me the Jyusenkyou Princess!
[The Kurozuishou projects an overhead view of Tokyo. The view begins to
contract, centering on a specific district. Seven distinct points of
varying levels of power are shown moving around the district, with an
eighth point of power, significantly brighter, also moving around.]
Nephrite: [Smiles.] Princess Nebula... I have you now!
[Cut to the Tendou residence. P-chan paces back and forth on the dojo
floor as Akane exercises with a pair of dumbbells.]
P-chan: Princess Nebula... where are you? [Concentrates.] If only
there were more clues...
Akane: Are you talking to yourself P-chan?
P-chan: [Takes notice.] Eh? Nothing. I was just thinking out loud.
Akane: [Puts the dumbbells aside and sits down next to P-chan.] Nee,
P-chan what else do you know about the Princess? Maybe you left out a
clue?
P-chan: Well, she enjoyed cooking. Sometimes, when the royal chef was
distracted, she would even make dinner for her subjects.
Kasumi: [From the kitchen.] Mina-san, dinner is ready!
Akane: Cooking, eh? Was she any good at it?
P-chan: Of course she was! Why when she finished, it tasted just
like--
Soun: [Joyfully crying from the dinner table.] Kasumi! It tastes just
like okaasan used to make!
P-chan: [Looking towards the main house.] ... Umm... Yeah� Like he
said.
Akane: [Picks up P-chan, gets up and starts walking towards the
house.] You make it sound like she took care of the palace a lot for a
princess!
P-chan: [Nods.] She was always too humble for her station.
Personally, I think her biggest weakness was that she always cared too
much for her subjects to think of them as mere servants.
Akane: It must have been very strange to be eating dinner prepared by a
princess. Did she have a favorite dish to make?
P-chan: I'm not sure. Some kind of fish dish I think.
Kasumi: [As Akane and P-chan enter the dinner room.] I hope you like
the fish. The shop I usually go to was closed and...
Akane: [Smiles as she sits down.] I will enjoy your cooking,
oneechan. Your cooking is always good.
P-chan: [Mostly to himself.] And of course her subjects were always
grateful to be eating her cooking. [Despairingly to himself.] But
where are we going to find such a person?
[Cut to Nephrite exiting the alley. He smiles as he takes a moment to
check which direction the Kurozuishou image indicated. After noting his
directions, he turns around and freezes as he sees an unexpected sight
before him. He runs over to two police women supervising a tow truck
lifting and towing his Ferrari Tesstarosa away.]
Nephrite: [Shocked expression.] Wh-what are you doing?!?
Policewoman: [Flashes her badge.] Officer Tsujimoto Natsumi, THP.
[Pointing at the Ferrari as it disappears around the street corner.]
Was that your car?
Nephrite: [Annoyed tone.] Why do you want to know?
Natsumi: Well, we have a warrant for impounding it. [Shows paperwork
to Nephrite.]
Nephrite: [Trembles with frustration and anger.] B-but...!
Miyuki: [Seated in the car.] I'm sorry sir. [Pulls out thermal print
from the on-board computer.] But our records show this car cited
repeated for parking and moving violations. I'm afraid you'll have to
come down to the station with us. You owe Y200,000 in fines and you'll
have to sign some paperwork.
Natsumi: [Nods with assent.] You fools with fancy cars always think
you can park your junk anywhere.
Nephrite: [Smiles smugly.] Hrumph...you obviously have no idea who
you're dealing with. [Tosses the thermal printout.] I command vast
power as the general of the Dark Kingdom. I am not subject to your
mortal laws and rules. Give me one reason why I should even deign to
come with you?
Natsumi: [With authority.] If you don't, you'll never see your car
again!
Nephrite: [Cringes meekly.] I'll be good...!
[COMMERCIAL BREAK.]
[Cut to the edge of Seyruun. Amelia, Gourry and Lina Inverse have just
finished fighting a number of bounty-hunters.]
Lina: [Frustrated.] This is the fifth group today! When are all these
guys going to get it through their heads that we're innocent?
[Grumpy.] What we need is some kind of advertising.
Amelia: [Excited.] You know what would be really cool? Tie everything
about us onto a single WWW site that would enable all the Warriors of
Justice to get real-time updates on the eternal battle for Truth and
Justice! [Eyes glitter.]
Gourry: [Confused.] But Amelia...we don't know anyone who can do that?
[Cue music.]
Logo: IBM World Wide Web Design. Business solutions for a small
world.
[Writer's Note: Standard Disclaimer.]
[END COMMERCIAL BREAK.]
[Cut to the Tokyo Police Department. Nephrite is leaving the police
station with a furious expression on his face. In his hand, he holds
his copies of several official documents.
Nephrite: [To himself.] How dare they subject me to such
humiliation...! This is all the fault of the Sailor Senshi! [Papers
smolder and burst into flame.] Oh, they will pay for this...!
[Cut to the Tendou residence. The rest of the family has begun eating
dinner, as Kasumi looks at the clock.]
Akane: What's wrong oneechan? Aren't you hungry?
Kasumi: That's strange...Tofu-sensei said he was going to be coming
over for dinner.
Nabiki: T-tofu-sensei's coming here? [To herself.] Better put away
the breakable china...
[Outside, they hear the sound of a car engine pulling up to the outside
gate.]
Kasumi: Ara! That must be him. [Gets up and walks towards the door.]
Nabiki: [Suspiciously.] That's strange...since when did Tofu-sensei
drive a car...
Nephrite: [Walks in.] Don't bother opening the door.
Akane: [Notices Nephrite's drab gray uniform. To herself.] A Dark
Kingdom general!?
Soun: [Steps forward.] Who are you? Why are you intruding on our
house?
Nephrite: [Contemptuously.] Bakame*... [Gestures casually, blasting
Soun through the rear wall. He slumps unconscious.]
*Fool
Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane: Otousan!
Nephrite: I am Nephrite of the Dark Kingdom. The Kurozuishou has
pointed me to the Jyusenkyou Princess! She must be hiding somewhere on
this compound!
Akane: [To herself.] Masaka... he must have picked up the energy from
my Sailor Senshi power! I've got to get away from here to protect
Nabiki and Kasumi!
Nephrite: [Coldly to the girls.] Surrender the Princess, and I will
let you live.
Nabiki: [To herself.] It's that guy... He must be from the Dark
Kingdom. We've got to get Ranma over here and change to Sailor Moon!
[Whispers to Akane.] Akane, I'll call for help!
Akane: [Whispers back.] Un. I'll distract him!
Kasumi: [Fearful whisper.] No! It's too dangerous!
Akane: [Whispers.] Oneechan, you have to trust me! I can handle it!
Nephrite: [Expectantly.] Well?
Akane: Minna, nigero*! [Grabs the table and throws it at Nephrite.]
*Everyone run
Nabiki: [Grabs Kasumi and runs.] Ikou yo, oneechan*!
*Let's go older sister
Nephrite: [Annoyed as he blasts the table away.] You cannot escape so
easily!
Akane: [Whispers rapidly.] P-chan! Get the others! I'll hold him
here!
P-chan: Baka! You don't stand a chance against a general all by
yourself! [Watches fearfully as Akane ignores him. To himself.]
Akane-chan... gambatte! [Runs away.]
Nephrite: [Blasts at Akane.] You will be punished for interfering.
[Blast collapses a hallway behind Akane as she runs.]
Akane: [Barely manages to dive out of the way.] Kyaaa... [Quickly
gets to her feet, and pulls out her transformation pen.] Mercury
Power... Make up!
[...17 second transformation sequence...]
Nephrite: [Blasts away the rubble.] You can't run forever! Soon I
will destroy you!
Voice: You won't get your way so easily!
Nephrite: Dare da?!?
Sailor Mercury: Breaking into people's houses and threatening the lives
of an innocent family is unforgivable! [While doing silly poses.] For
love and justice, I am the beautiful girl warrior Sailor Mercury! In
the name of the planet Mercury, I will punish you!
Nephrite: Kono bakamono... [Blasts Sailor Mercury.]
Sailor Mercury: [Barely dives aside.] Kyaa...
Nephrite: [Blasts repeatedly.] You cannot possibly defeat me!
Sailor Mercury: [Barely avoiding each blast.] I'll never give up!
SHABON... SPRAY! [Clouds of fog fill the courtyard, reducing visibility
to near zero.]
Nephrite: [Contemptuously.] Hrumph! Pathetic! Your attack is
useless!
Sailor Mercury: Not if it keeps you from seeing this! [Throws a bokken
at Nephrite, hitting him on the head.]
Nephrite: Ite! [Angry.] Kisama! [Conjures a ball of energy and
throws it at Sailor Mercury.]
Sailor Mercury: [Dodges, but still takes some damage.] Itai!
SHABON... SPRAY! [The fog fills the courtyard again.]
Nephrite: Hrumph! This attack again? [Starts blasting around the
courtyard, clearing away the fog.] You won't get me the same way twice.
Sailor Mercury: [To herself.] It... it's no good! My attack won't
hurt him! Chotto... what was it Tofu-sensei said? [Thinks back.] "A
lot of the things we do are instinctive." Maybe... [Closes her eyes
and tries to concentrate.]
Nephrite: [Smiling evilly.] Now, to put you out of your misery.
[He pauses when seeing Sailor Mercury meditating with her eyes closed.
She suddenly opens her eyes and stares at Nephrite.]
Sailor Mercury: [Pointing at Nephrite.] Sui Maryuu Ken!
[The air around Nephrite condenses and mist starts to form. Just as
quickly, the mist forms itself into four miniature water dragons,
charging at Nephrite from four directions.]
Nephrite: Nani?!?
[The dragons attack Nephrite as he hastily forms an energy shield to
ward off their attacks. The water dissipates, leaving Nephrite with an
angry look and a cut on his face.]
Nephrite: You breached my defenses with a Heaven's Way warrior
technique? Impressive. [Snarling.] But not good enough! [Powers
up.] SHI-NE...!
[Cut to a street just outside the Tendou residence. Tofu is on his way
to the Tendou residence. Suddenly a loud blast startles him.]
Tofu: Wh-what's going on?!? [Runs towards the front gate.]
[Cut back to the Tendou residence. The courtyard is in shambles as
water damage and blast marks are everywhere. Debris from the house is
scattered around the yard. Sailor Mercury looks hurt and worn out, but
still stands. Nephrite hovers in mid-air in the middle of the
courtyard, staring down on Sailor Mercury.]
Nephrite: [Grudgingly.] You've fought harder than I would have
expected. But even someone as slow as you must know you can't beat me!
Sailor Mercury: [Angry determination.] Zettai ni... Zettai ni makenai
ha*!
*I'll never give up
Nephrite: [Smiles contemptuously.] Very well... if you want to be a
martyr... [Blasts again.]
[Sailor Mercury tries to dodge again, but is slowed by injury and
fatigue. She manages to dodge the first blast, but the next blast
splits into several balls of energy, embedding her into the outer
courtyard. As she is hit, the outer gate opens and Tofu rushes inside.]
Tofu: Sailor Mercury! [Runs up to Sailor Mercury as she collapses.]
Sailor Mercury: [Weakly.] T-tofu-sensei... I-I failed... I wasn't
strong enough... I...
Tofu: [Reassuringly.] Don't talk like that! You did the best you
could! No one could have fought harder or braver! [Gently puts her
down.]
Nephrite: Another fool! [Blasts at Tofu.]
Tofu: [Barely manages to dive out of the way. He rolls to his feet and
manages to grab Akane's bokken lying on the ground.]
Nephrite: [Amused.] Hrumph... that puny thing can't hurt me again!
Tofu: [To himself.] Wh-what am I doing?!? I've never held a sword in
my life! [Charge forward, swinging the bokken with surprising skill.]
Nephrite: [Casually dodges the swings.] Your skill is impressive.
[Blasts the sword out of Tofu's hand. Condescendingly.] Your power is
pathetic.
Tofu: Gyaaa...
[Just then, Nabiki appears at the far end of the courtyard, with Kasumi
in tow. As they see the battle, they try and double back towards the
other side of the house. Just as they do, the Kurozuishou starts to
flash under Nephrite's uniform.]
Nabiki: Shimatta... wrong way!
Kasumi: Taihen da! That poor girl is hurt!
Tofu: Kasumi! Nigero! [Starts to run towards Nabiki and Kasumi.]
Nephrite: [Pulls out the Kurozuishou, closes eyes, concentrates, and
powers up.] The Princess... I can feel her power! [Starts to focus
his power through the Kurozuishou.] Crystal, aim my strike at the Heart
of the Princess!
Sailor Mercury: [Struggles to get up.] Dame... I've got to stop him!
Nephrite: [Releases a gigantic power blast straight towards Kasumi and
Nabiki.] Todome da!
Sailor Mercury: Oneechan, abunai!
Tofu: KASUMI!
[Tofu runs with all his might, throwing himself directly into Nephrite's
blast. The energy explodes, blasting Tofu into the wall.]
Nabiki: Oh no!
Kasumi: TOFU-SENSEI!
[Kasumi breaks away from Nabiki and runs towards Tofu as he collapses to
the ground.]
Nephrite: [Strides towards Kasumi and Tofu, with the Kurozuishou
blinking.] Now to finish this batt--!
[Just then, a flaming spatula barely misses Nephrite's head.]
Nephrite: Nani kore...?!?
Sailor Jupiter: BLACK ROSE... CYCLONE...!
Sailor Moon: MOUKO TAKABISHA...!
[Nephrite barely manages to avoid both attacks. As he tries to reorient
himself, the Sailor Senshi get into position.]
Sailor Moon: Sailor Mercury?
Sailor Mercury: [Injured but still determined.] Un! I'm ready!
[Nephrite looks at the assembled Senshi, and smiles.]
Nephrite: [Smugly.] Very well... I will return to finish this battle
another day. Sailor Senshi... your days of opposing the Dark Kingdom
are numbered... Hahahahaha� [Vanishes.]
Sailor Moon: [Props Tofu up.] Tofu-sensei! Shikkarishiro!
Tofu: [Weakly.] Sailor Moon... protect... protect the pr... [Goes
unconscious.]
Sailor Senshi:: TOFU-SENSEI!
[Cut to the Dark Kingdom. Nephrite appears out of thin air and stands
before Queen Beryl.]
Nephrite: Indeed they were clever my Queen. We almost forgot that
reincarnation could alter the physical gender. However, I have finally
discovered the true identity of the Princess.
Queen Beryl: If this is true, then why have you returned without the
Princess?
Nephrite: [Confidently.] My initial attack has been temporarily
interrupted by the arrival of the Sailor Senshi. Given their past
success, I felt it was prudent to reassess the situation, rather than
force an unfavorable conflict.
Queen Beryl: I see. And what do you intend to do about completing your
mission?
Nephrite: Shimpai deha arimasen, Queen Beryl-sama. I know the Princess'
body's location. He is helpless in one of their places of healing. His
wounds are far too serious for any chance of recovery. It is only a
matter of time.
Queen Beryl: Surely the Sailor Senshi shall protect him as they always
have.
Nephrite: Of course. However, I have already taken their power into
consideration. They will be helpless before my brilliant plan.
[Bows.] All I need is your permission to finish him off.
Queen Beryl: [Smiles evilly.] Very well... kill him...
