Jason:
What he seems to be asking for, are more fics that are not merely
romantic, but exceptional.
But isn't that what we all want? :)
Yes, of course. However, I believe that the question was asked with the
intent of pointing out how difficult it is to write a successful fic.
Boy, is *that* true. For my two semi-successful fics, I've written so many
half-baked fics and junked them that I don't even care to count... :P
I actually agree. For every good WAFF out there by a new author, how many
more just left you with a feeling of *bleh!* ? Not the fault of the
author; it's hard to write something that will touch someone in that way.
<shrug> I dunno...I mean, I don't really like WAFFy stories, period.
Palmer, who is held to be the best of such stories, writes them so good
that I don't really mind, but the vast majority of WAFF fics...well, they
leave me of that 'bleh' feeling, I guess. :P
As an aside, did anyone get a long-lasting reaction like these from any of
my stories? It'd be nice if they did. I mean, writing them touched *me,*
so... ;)
Well, write more and I'll let you know... :)
Well, Ryoga 1/2's already like 200 pages long. Read all that already? ;)
(Mirror Images part 4 is coming out soon, though, I think.)
(-I- liked them. That's why I wrote asking about your .sig one or two
days ago)
I was so touched to see that someone noticed... <sniffle><g>

He shook his head. No, natural disasters were all to destructive for
this vague feeling to represent.
An assassin!
Yes, that had to be it. What else would give a feeling like this? He
was about to get a knife in the back. It was so obvious it hurt. No,
wait, that wasn't what hurt. Someone was pinching his neck.
"Hey," he stated irritatedly, coming out of his daze and looking up.
"Oh...er, hiya, Ukyou-chan."
