First of all, kudos to Lawson for actually getting this to work. TIL and TBE
are probably the two most opposite takes on tthe Ranmaverse there are, and
crossing them over couldn't have been easy.

Not really.  There are a LOT of stories which are much further from TBE
than TIL.  They are closer together on the 'Ranma universe as serious
place' scale than say any of my Ranma stories, The Nameless Sequel, or
even a fair # of DNR episodes.  It would have been much harder to meld a
light hearted Ranma farce story (say Lemonade) and TBE than TIL and TBE.
