Authors Notes:

<Pan to a shot of rune glancing at a lodestone, hanging off of a wire in
front of him. Piles and piles of disgarded navigation equipment are strewn
about the room.>
Greetings again, and Im glad to say that now that my wrists have healed, Im
ready to get back to writing. Those of you looking for an update on The End
is the Beginning... well Im going to repost the revised versions of the
first four chapters soon if anyone wants em, and hopefully chapter 5 after
that.

Anyways, this is a crossover that I was looking for a co author or two.
Anyone interested? This first chapter sets down the basic plot, but as
TEitB showed me, these things can go anywhere...

Course, if no ones really interested in this, I'll drop it.

...

"Darkness... Yes the darkness that is our savior, and our master." The
robed figure crouched beside the pool, gently dropping the petals of a lotus
into the shining water. The ripples spread across, obscuring the reflection
of the moon that shone brightly overhead. "Darkness, part the shadows of
time and space, and show me the artifact."

The reflecting pool shimmered, clearing to show a blue green planet
drifting in the void. "Damn... This can't be the clearest resolution... I
must locate the artifact."

The figure tossed more petals into the pool, swearing gently. He failed to
notice as another figure, cloaked soley in red, walked silently into the
room. "Tell me, have you found the artifact yet?"

The figure gazing into the pool jumped slightly. "No, no lord... I have
not found it yet." The figure stood, bowing deeply to the red cloaked man.

"A pity then. And what is the closest location that you have found?"

"Lord, I believe that there is one in the Nermia district that knows
information on the artifact. Perhaps they will be of assistance in
retrieving it." The black cloaked figure bowed again. "I could perhaps
retrieve them for you Lord?"

"No, that is unnecessary. I have several operatives that can more
efficiently do the job. So does this mean that this person knows mroe about
the artifact than you do?" The man in black couldn't see the smile pass
across the red robed figures face.

"Yes... why? No, lord, please, I have always served you loyally...
please, you can't!" The figure in black stepped backwards, his face
blanching in horror. "Please no Lord..."

"Im afraid that I don't have any use for you any more Zas. Goodbye." The
figure in black turned and ran to the other side of the pond.

"You can't to destroy me! The Great Lord would not permit it!" The figure
held his hand in the air. "Die then, traitor to the Lord! FLARE ARROW!!!"

The red figure smiled, and held out his hand. The arrows of flame that
were being shot from Zas's hand bounced harmlessly off of a barrier that
appeared with the red figures gesture. The smile that passed over the
defenders face was not as pleasent as the one a moment ago. A bright flare
of light filled the grotto.

The tattered remains of the black figures robe drifted away on the wind.
The red figure smiled appreciativly at his handiwork. "Haz..."

A piece of shadow seperated itself from the greater darkness, drifting to
the side of the red figure. It grabbed a piece of his cape and nuzzled it.
"Yessss Lord Rezzzo?"

"Summon our agent on the Earth. We have a mission for him." The figure
stroked his chin and smiled. "And tell him... he's going to Nermia."

Presenting:

A Ranma 1/2 Slayers X-over, involving countless other series.
_Eyes of his father, spirit of his mother._

Nermia. Land of harmony and light, peace and goodness, serenity and good
feelings. Where the people are kind, the food great, and violence takes the
day off.

Maybe in some other fic.

"RANMA!!!"

CRUNCH!

"OW!!! Wha'd you do that for Akane?" Ranma Saotome, martial artist
extrodinare, master of almost every technique known to man, was in battle
once more. Once more he pitted his skills against his most deadly opponent,
an opponent who he himself feared, one that could utterly and mercilessly
defeat him.

Akane Tendo, fiance to Ranma Saotome, was that opponet.

"Thats it Ranma, I've had it! All these insults to my cooking, to how I
look, Im not going to put up with it any more!" The mallet slammed into the
ground inches from Ranma's head, making the entire house shake with the
force of the impact. Ranma fliched, and jumped away as Akane brought her
mallet up for another attack. "I've HAD IT RANMA!!!"

"Calm down Akane, you know I was just joking..." Ranma replied, rolling
out of the way of another house shaking strike. "Really, I don't mind how
you look, its just when you start getting angry..."

"QUIET RANMA, AND HOLD STILL!!!"

Meanwhile, Genma and Soun were sitting on the back porch, bemoaning their
fate.

"I tell you Saotome... if our children don't start to get along soon, I'll
never be able to reopen the training hall." Soun moved a go piece, and
looked out at the Koi pond, and the ripples that spread across it each time
Akane slammed her mallet into the ground.

"Then why don't you accept more students while Ranma and Akane work things
out?" Gendou asked, moving several of Soun's go pieces while he was
talking. "Our finances are strapped as it is, and soon the finainces from
when your Dojo was open will run out. A few more students won't hurt things
around here. In fact, you could get Ranma to help you. Something more
responsable than freeloading will be good for him. Training definately
builds character."

Soun scratched his chin as he gazed out at the Koi pond. "You idea has
merit Saotome. Perhaps getting some more students won't hurt things. But
where will we get more? Most people are afraid to come to this house,
besides all the other girls chasing after Ranma, Ryoga, Mousse, and the
Master."

Genma swapped a few more pieces around, and then settled back. "I'm not
sure, Soun. Perhaps one will show up out of nowhere?" Genma moved a piece.
"I believe that I've won."

Soun glanced back at the board. "Why I believe you have Saotome. Shall we
play again?"

They were reaching from the go board when Ranma jumped over them in a
flash, Akane just behind. Both Soun and Genma barely had time to get out of
the way before Akane's mallet crashed into the go board, smashing it to
pieces.

"But then again Saotome, perhaps we can attempt to find those students you
were talking about?" Soun stated as Ranma leapt a few inches too far back,
landing in the Tendo Koi pond. Both of them left as Akane engaged
Ranma-chan in a scene of extreme violence...

...

"Are they gone Akane?" Ranma-chan asked.

"I think so..." Akane replied. "Did you hear what they were talking
about?"

"Yeah, I did. Seems all our work is paying off. If we can get your father
to start accepting students again, maybe we'll be able to work things out.
As it is, we barely have enough money to repair the house." Ranma-chan
stood up from out of the Koi pond. "Well, I need to get some hot water, and
get back to work on fixing up the Dojo training hall."

"Thanks Ranma." Akane replied as Ranma stood up out of the Koi pond. "Oh
yeah, one more thing..."

"Whats that Akane?"

"IF YOU EVEN _JOKE_ ABOUT MY COOKING AGAIN, I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

Ranma laughed, and barely ducked the mallet that Akane threw after him.

...

"Hmmm... Tendo Residence." The purple haired boy read the sign on the
gate to the Tendo house, and then glanced back into a guide book that he was
carrying. "According to this book, this the the home of world famous
martial artist Soun Tendo, and he accepts almost any student and makes them
into a world famous fighter. This sounds fun." The boy snapped his guide
book shut and walked in the front gate.

The sound of the door bell ringing caught everyone in the house by suprise.
"I wonder who that could be?" Kasumi stated as she continued to fix dinner.

"It has to be either Kuno, Ukuyo, or Shampoo. No one else really rings the
door bell. And even they don't sometimes." Nabiki replied to Kasumi,
reading a copy of the Wall Street Journal. The doorbell rang several more
times, and finally Nibiki sighed and set the paper down. "Why can' anyone
else get the door?" she wondered aloud.

The boy with the purple hair looked over Nibiki as she opened the door.
"Ah, greetings Mrs. Tendo. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is
Xelnan, and Im here to apply to be a student of your husband Soun Tendo..."
