Due to an accident with an undersea cable link that connects Korea
with the US yesterday, Internet access to Korea from the US has been
cut off for awhile. The rest of the country has been reconnected
using an alternate route.
Unfortunately, Seoul National University, where the FFML homepage
resides, has only a single route to the outside, with no backup links
(why the hell didn't they spend money on something so important, while
spending piles of money on "upgrading" systems to Windows NT and
assorted applications!?!), so access to the site will be rather
sporadic for most of the time until the link is fixed.
They expect the link to be fixed by May 10. They'd better meet that
deadline, or else I'd be even more pissed than I already am.
(I hope that I'm lucky enough that the system tries to send the
message when a route to the list is available, which is almost never
currently.)
