I actually liked Henry's Pop-Up/Annotated fanfic. I agree with 
Nightman, in that I do not understand many references made in some 
fanfics. This is especially true with cross-overs, when a reference 
in one series (like Akane malleting Ranma) is transplanted into 
another series (say, Akane malleting Ataru). 

People who watch both series (Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura) are aware of 
Akane's use of a mallet (a move more effective than most of the other 
characters' martial arts attacks) and Ataru's flirtatious behavior. 
They will enjoy a fanfic more by understanding these references.

I don't know if this is overkill, but would someone consider doing a 
Pop-Up/Annotation of some of the MSTings out there? Some of the riffs 
are too obscure for me. ^_^
