Who?  Time to go digging through the web again.

Minky Momo was one of the first magical girl characters.  Her series was
odd in that 2/3 of the way through it, she was hit by a truck and died.
She then was reincarnated as a baby, and the last third of the episodes
were the baby's dreams.
