This wouldn't work IMHO for a couple of reasons (attempting to avoid spoilers
since most people haven't seen the end of SMJ)
1)  SMJ takes place about 1000 years into the future
2)  There really aren't a whole lot of _plausible_ ways to get Ranma into SMJ
3)  There's a specific reason why Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry are after Otaru.
4)  what would be the point?  Simply replacing Otaru with Ranma is kindof
pointless don't you think?
5)  There is another reason but it would give away the end

An alternate possibility might be replacing Otaru's marionettes with the females
from the Ranma cast in a fusion fic ie:
Lime-->Akane
Cherry-->Kasumi
Bloodberry-->Nabiki

Panther-->Shampoo
Tiger-->Kodachi
Lynx-->Ukyou

I know it's not an exact personality match and they'd be marionettes but Shamps,
'Dachi, and Ukyou are at least as obsessed with Ranma as the Saberdolls are
obsessed with Faust--yeah, I know their respective churches are going to kill
me.  Besides there aren't enough fics focusing on the girls rather than the guys
in Ranma1/2 (or any SMJ fics for that matter)
