I didn't reply the first time through, because I was curious to
to see a little more first. Since you've asked:

1. One continuity problem - when Ranma gains his second curse, he
has changed to his handicapped form in cold water, and the Guide
brings him a kettle to change him back to a girl. Later, he changes
to a girl with cold and back to a guy with hot. You need to make up
your mind which.

2. I didn't feel comfortable with the whole second curse idea. It
would have seemed better to me if, say, Genma, underestimating his
panda strength, broke Ranma's back when knocking him off the pole.
Of course, that would change the story a great deal, since Ranma
would now have no "normal" form to try to get back to, so feel
free to disregard this comment.

3. I had a great deal of trouble with the scene of Akane throwing
hot water on Ranma so he'd fall into the water. What's she do for
an encore, change him to his male form and push him in front of a
car? This seemed way out of bounds to me, and I've gotten used to
some exceptionally cruel Akane portrayals over the last few years.
(I don't agree with them or like them, but I've gotten used to
them.)

4. I agree with Gary Kleppe - the whole focus of the story has
to be on Ranma's reaction. My take on this is that he is going
to be one exceptionally depressed teenager - he'd make Ryoga
look perky. Certainly this Ranma seems to be awfully blase about
the fact that his normal life is effectively gone. Canonical
Ranma was able to get along by ignoring his curse when possible
and telling himself it was a temporary inconvenience. He didn't
really feel that anything essential about him had changed. I
don't think this Ranma has that out.
