Subject: [FFML] Redundant ML?

Has everyone checked RAAC today? There is a post from Lizard
<lizard@mrlizard.com> entitled "[Info] FanFic Writers Mailing List" where
it appears that Lizard is forming a new ML devoted to discussing issues in
fanfic writing, and C&C of fics. My impression is that this proposed ML is
very close to the stated purpose of the FFML.

Will this new ML lead to a pointless fragmentation of the
writing/critiquing community? Such a development could lead to a situation
where people on one ML are discussing issues or asking questions that have
already been discussed on the other. More likely, the two MLs will have a
lot of duplicate postings and with many people subscribed to both, who will
then see an increase in volume of email (and an increase in time spent
checking email) without a corresponding increase in the value of the msgs
received.
