I think you're missing the point here. A Fan's Fic is exactly that -
fiction wirtten by a specific fan. It is legally his/her work. Now,
whether that Fanfic breaches someone else's copyright is something
else again entirely.
Now, I don't know about being MSTed. I always see it as a give and
get relationship. You give some of your ideas...eventually, the
response will come. Bad or Good, you could always ignore it...at
least appreciate someone read it. Readers that respond are so scare
nowadays, I sometimes wonder if those that constantly read my fics
ever realize that I need feedback too.
On the other hand if you ask not to be MST'd, people should respect
your right. If you have not stated so, on the other hand, then don't
be surprised if somebody *does* MST your work.
