I've been wondering how a Reflex Cannon (main guns on the SDF-1, SDF-3,
Macross Cannons) would do against an AT Field? And are there any
Macross(Macross II,Macross Plus,Robotech)/ Neon Genesis Evangelion Xover
fics out there?

You wouldn't want to use a reflex cannon the size of the ones on the SDF
series of ships against an angel on the ground. The damage definition on
these critters is: "A 2 mile wide beam that destroys EVERYTHING in it's
path." The range was something in the neighborhood of 50,000 miles. That
info comes from the Robotech, Sentinels and Macross II RPGs. Using such a
weapon against a planet you were inhabiting would bring grave consequences.
In space however, it would all be over for the angel. As to the AT field,
it would go through it like butter. Both the Zentraedi (or Tsentraedi if
you prefer) and the Invid have such shields on their ships. Now a weapon
like a synchro canon (a smaller version of the macross cannon mounted on a
hoverplatform) would be perfect. It only shoots a beam 50ft wide that
destroys everything in it's path for something like 2 or 3 miles. The
biggest problem with this would be getting the angel to stay still for the
weapon to be aimed. Though the synchro canon is fairly fast to move, with
the big ships you must remember that they are for taking out opposing
cruisers and battleships, not little angels that aren't much bigger than a
Veritech.
A while back I wrote an insipid EVA/Robotech/Ranma crossover spamfic with
Ranma as an Alpha fighter pilot that found an invid group attacking an
angel. It was not well written, but it is the only one I have personally
seen as a Robotech/Eva crossover. If you decide to do this, I'd be happy
to pre-read. I'm a serious robotech fanatic, and I'm getting pretty heavy
into eva too!
