*There are several spoilers ahead for those that haven't seen all the
episodes of Eva and the
movies (or are like me and don't have the willpower to wait and have
read the scripts so you
know how things end.) Don't read on if you have willpower!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Inspired by NEON GENESIS EVANGELION created by Hideaki Anno and Gainax.

Most characters designed by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Kaela and the
personality for EVA-04,
Stephanie, are mine.)

I ask that all concerned that own these copyrights do not sue me as I am
poor enough as it is.
Trying to scrape through school on what Radio Shack pays really sucks.

"Your so cold Misato-san" Shinji replied.
Misato just gave him a pitying look then began to walk away. <I wish I
could help you
Shinji but you won't let me,> she thought. Just then her PCS phone
rang. <Now what.>
	"Maj. Katsuragi," she answered.
"Major, please report to the command center immediately," said Maya's
worried voice from
the other end.
"What's going on Maya," asked Misato.
"We just detected a Sea of Dirac forming just north of Tokyo-3," she
replied. "Do you
want me to call Shinji?"
"No, he's here with me. We'll be There in approximately 15 minutes,"
Misato answered in
her command voice. "Just get Unit-01 ready, OK"
"Yes Major," said Maya before hanging up.
Misato walked back over to Shinji. If he knew she was there he made no
indication.
"Shinji," she prompted. "There's another emergency developing. We'll
need Unit-01"
"Yes Miss-Misato," he answered before getting up from the rock he was
sitting on and
following her to her car. They reached headquarters 15 minutes later.
Misato walked briskly into the control room. "Report," was all she
said.
"The anomaly showed upon our scopes about 25 minutes ago. It has been
increasing in
size by about 1m every two minutes," reported Maya.
"What color is the DNA pattern," asked Misato.
"Difficult to tell at this point, but my best guess from the readings
I'm getting would
be green," stated Maya.
"What has a green pattern?" asked Misato.
"The only thing I can think of would be an Evangelion," replied Maya
before gasping.
"But it's not possible, all the Evas are accounted for, aren't they!"
"All except for Unit-04," said Makoto from his station.
"What about Evas 05 through 13 that have been commissioned in Europe?"
asked Shiguru.
"Those can't have been finished yet," retorted Makoto. "Not this
quickly."
"Major, Shinji is ready for launch," called Maya.
"OK. Are you sure you can handle this Shinji?" Misato asked worriedly.
"Yes Misato," he replied in monotone much like Rei's.
Misato sighed. "Launch Eva," she cried.
Eva-01 was catapulted to the surface of what was once the northern part
of Tokyo-3.
Shinji pulled what looked like an Eva-sized Beretta 9mm out of the
nearby weapons locker
and advanced toward the projected coordinates. He recalled the last
time he had
encountered this phenomenon with a shudder. Shinji did not want to
repeat that experience.
<I was carrying the same weapon too, last time,> he thought.
"Eva-01 has reached position," said Shiguru.
"Rate of expansion is increasing rapidly," Maya yelled.
"Shinji, pull back now!" ordered Misato.
Shinji, seeing the field expand, did not have to be told twice.
The Sea of Dirac quit expanding when Eva-01 had moved away 500m.
"Anomaly has stopped expansion," reported Maya. "Readings are still
fluctuating.
I can't seem to be able to lock down what it is." Maya looked
perplexed. "DNA pattern
of the anomaly seems to cycle through blue, green, red, and orange."
"But it does have pattern, as if there is something alive there," spoke
Commander
Ikari.
	"Yes sir," replied Maya.
"What is the status of repairs on Unit-02?" he asked.
	"98% complete sir," replied Makoto.
"Ready Unit-02 for launch and send out Rei," he said. <Now what is
Seele up to,>
thought Gendou.
20 minutes later Eva-02 was beside Unit-01 armed with a positron rifle.
Both Evas
stood ready waiting for orders. Shinji looked warily at the picture of
Rei III on his
screen.
<Please don't do what you did last time and kill yourself, I don't
think I can
handle anymore death,> he thought.
Just then the Sea of Dirac collapsed in a bright flash of light nearly
blinding
everyone in the control center. When the light was gone, what stood in
its place drew
gasps from everyone.
"Is that what I think it is?" asked Misato.
"Pattern green, target is confirmed as Evangelion Unit-04," replied
Maya.
"Do we have a link to Unit-04?" asked Misato.
"Negative," replied Makoto. "Eva-04 is silent and unresponsive."
"Major, have Units 01 and 02 take positions on either side of Unit-04.
Then
order them to attack if it makes any hostile moves," ordered Gendou. "I
would prefer
to have Unit-04 intact but we can not afford a repeat of the Unit-03
incident, can we."
"Understood," she replied. "Rei. Shinji. Move your Evas to either
side of
Unit-04 and take up attack positions. Don't take anymore action against
Eva-04
unless ordered or it makes a hostile move, understood?"
"M-Mis-Misato, we're not going to kill the pilot, are we?" asked
Shinji.
"No. Bringing Unit-04 in intact is our priority. Besides, we don't
even know if
it is piloted," she replied. Misato looked around the control room.
Her eyes came to
rest on Maya who was busily trying her best to examine all the data
coming in. <Poor
Maya, we really need Ritsuko here,> thought Misato.
"Thanks Misato," replied a relieved Shinji before moving his Eva to his
new
position. Rei just moved her Eva without a word throughout the
communication.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaela woke up seeing only amber and with a migraine that could kill.
She panicked
in the unfamiliar surroundings until she remembered she was in Eva-04.
The amber then
resolved into a display.
"Uhhhhhhhh, where in the nine levels of hell are we?"
<We are in Tokyo-3, what is left of it, two weeks before the third
impact,> replied
Steph. <Oh, don't swear, I have virgin ears.>
<All right already, status?> Kaela asked.
<All systems are functional and we are where and when we should be,>
Stephanie replied.
<Oh, one more thing.>
	<And that is?> asked Kaela.
<There are two Evangelions armed with really big guns to either side of
us. Life just
doesn't get any better,> Steph said in an unconcerned tone.
<Two armed Evas are pointing guns at us and life is good, you're
psychotic!> exclaimed
Kaela. <Aren't you concerned in the least?>
<I am unconcerned because they haven't fired. I am playing possum,>
she said. Steph
sounded quite amused to Kaela.
<What are we going to do?>
<You are going to call Nerv HQ and ask to dock Your Eva. I am going to
play dead just
as if I was a normal Eva,> stated Steph nonchalantly.
<I hope you know what you are doing, because I don't.>
<Just do as I say and shutup! YOU are the student, I am the teacher.
Do not call me
psychotic either, it hurts my feelings.>
Kaela began to mutter, again, about the evils of Evangelions and hers
in particular.
She then reached for the switch to toggle on the communications and
computer systems.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Major, Unit-04's systems are coming online," Makoto said.
"Find out what's going on Maya," said Misato.
"Major," Maya called turning toward Misato. "There is some...."
"Excuse me for interrupting, but can I park this thing, I'm still not
used to this LCL
stuff. I sure hope the smell of blood comes off," the girl on the
screen said in English.
Everyone in the control room just stared at her image. "Did I say
something wrong? Is my hair
messed up? Why are you all just staring at me?"
Misato looked at the girl. She was rather attractive, looked about
17ish, and was
wearing a plug suit similar to Rei's. Misato couldn't help but feel
there was something she
was missing but couldn't figure it out.
"Please state your name," demanded Misato.
"My name is Kaela, I'm the pilot of Eva-04, and I want a shower. Can I
please park
this thing?"
"I will instruct the two Evas to either side of you to escort you in.
Do not make
any aggressive actions. They have orders to attack if you do," replied
an annoyed Misato.
"Shinji. Rei. Escort her to recovery point B14."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unit-02 and Unit-01 moved up next to Unit-04. Rei and Shinji's images
then appeared on
Kaela's screen. She examined them. Shinji had brown hair, blue eyes,
and looked cute. Then
she looked at Rei. Rei had blue hair and red eyes. <She has to be
wearing contacts but they
look so natural. The hair especially.>
Shinji looked at Kaela on his screen as they led her to the recovery
point. <She will
definitely give Asuka a run for her money,> thought Shinji. This went
along with several impure
images that males are always thinking about women (in this author's
humble but expert opinion).
Shinji began to blush and quickly looked away from her image only to see
Rei's. Shinji's mind
started on him again and he blushed even more before pushing them back.
Rei also looked at Kaela on her screen. She wondered who this girl was
and what she was
doing in Eva-04. She also wondered why looking this girl filled her
with a feeling she could
not identify. The feeling was apprehension.
All three pilots were too occupied with their thoughts to talk to one
another.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Did you notice she wasn't wearing a neural headset?" Fuyutski asked
Ikari.
	"Yes," Gendou replied thoughtfully.
They were in their traditional positions of Gendou sitting with his
hands steepled and
Fuyutski standing behind and to the right of Gendou with his hands
behind his back.
"What do you think, did Seele send her?"
"We will know soon enough," Gendou answered. "Maj. Katsuragi, bring
the girl to my
office as soon as she exits Unit-04. LT. Ibuki will join us as
temporary head of Tech Division.
"Do you want me to let her shower first, Cdr. Ikari?"
"No, hand her a towel and bring her without delay," Ikari replied then
walked out of the
room with Fuyutski following.
"Boy, that guy can be a real jerk at times," fumed Misato.
"Major, they are locking down Unit-04 in cage 5 right now," Maya said.
"OK, let's go down and take her to our leader. Anyone got a towel?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaela climbed out of the entry plug and looked around the cage in awe.
The word impressive
summed up her opinion quite nicely. She turned around to start pulling
her things out of the
plug as Misato and Maya walked in. She turned around with her brother's
katana in hand. Misato
saw the sword and inched her hand toward her Beretta. Kaela Just smiled
at her as they
approached.
"Could the two of you help me with this?" asked Kaela in English.
"I guess," replied Misato in the same language, puzzled.
"Here, hold this," Kaela told Misato, handing her the sword. She then
turned to finish
pulling her stuff out of the entry plug. "What do I with this?" With
that, she held out the
neural headset. "I sort of broke it," she said, sheepishly.
"You weren't wearing it?" asked a surprised Maya. "But how could you
sync with the Eva
without it?"
"Beginner's luck, I guess. Where's the shower, this stuff is awful."
Misato handed her the towel. "I'm afraid that will have to wait.
Commander Ikari wants
to see you in his office," Misato told her.
"Gota love the PTBs," replied Kaela sarcastically, drying her hair.
"Can you have someone
put my stuff somewhere safe?" Kaela picked up her cassock and put it
on, letting it hang open
over her plug suit. "Here you go," she said, handing the headset to
Maya. Shinji and Rei chose
that moment to enter.
"Hi, name's Kaela," she said, holding her hand out to Shinji. Shinji
just shook her
hand in his usual shy manner when confronted with an attractive girl.
Rei only nodded when she
held out her hand toward her. "I didn't catch yours," she commented.
"What did she say?" Shinji asked Misato, nervously.
"Oh great, I'm in Japan and the only word I know is sushi. I hope Cdr.
Ikari speaks
English, or at least something European." Kaela walked past Rei and
Shinji. "Let's not keep
Cdr. Ikari waiting, I'm sure he's busy. I'll do introductions later
when I pick up the native
tongue."
Maya quickly followed Kaela to lead her to Ikari's office. Misato
turned to Rei before
following. "Please take her stuff to the locker room, please Rei."
"Hai," was her monotone reply. Misato then left the cage.
"What do you think of her Rei?"
"She bothers me," replied Rei. She then picked up Kaela's clothes and
took them to the
pilots' locker room. Shinji followed, realizing that he wasn't going to
get anymore from Rei at
this moment.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I wouldn't suppose I could get your names?" Kaela asked Misato and
Maya as she was led
to Gendou's office.
"I'm Major Katsuragi Misato, head of operations."
"Ibuki Maya, deputy head of technical division."
"At least you two speak English. I'm Michaela Kirschner by the way.
Call me Kaela,
Michaela is just way to long," she replied with a grin. "So who were
the two lingual
geniuses?"
"The boy is Ikari Shinji and the girl is Ayanami Rei," replied Misato.
"They're both
just quiet, most Japanese do speak English."
"That's a relief. So what can I expect from this commander?"
"He's very thoughtful and withdrawn," replied Misato.
"Great, he's a cold bastard and going to feed me to the dogs." Kaela
grumbled.
Misato and Maya both snickered at this. Kaela gave them both a look
that said she
didn't think it was the least bit funny. The three continued to Cdr.
Ikari's office chatting
about themselves. Though neither Misato nor Maya could understand it,
they felt at ease around
Kaela. Misato quieted them when they reached their objective. Two Nerv
security personnel stood
in front. They gave Misato an inquiring look when they saw the sword.
She laughed and handed
it to one. They then proceeded in.
Kaela looked around Ikari's office as she entered. If the Eva cage was
impressive,
then this place was glorious. The office was enormous. Gendou's desk
was near the center of
the room. He sat behind it passively with his hands steepled in front.
This was definitely a
man to be feared. Sub-Cdr. Fuyutski stood behind and to his right with
his hands clasped behind
his back. Misato and Maya moved behind Gendou desk leaving Kaela in
front alone. She frowned
when she noticed the tree of life depicted on the ceiling.
"Is my office not to your liking, Miss Kirschner?"
Kaela looked at him, startled. Then she realized that he had probably
monitored her all
the way to his office. "I'm just trying to figure out what kind of
person you are. An office's
decor can tell a lot about its owner," she replied matter of factly.
"And what kind of person am I?" Gendou asked.
"Ask me in a couple of months. I should have drawn at least a
preliminary conclusion by
then. All I can say now is highly complex with an interest in
theology."
<She's intelligent. Just the type of person Seele might send. Time to
find out,>
thought Gendou. "What were you doing in Eva-04?"
"I don't remember," she said simply.
<That's intelligent.> Kaela could hear the sarcasm from Steph.
"You don't remember. Come now, Miss Kirschner you can't expect me to
believe that,"
replied Gendou.
"It's true. My head is killing me and I can't recall much of anything
right now. I
remember seeing this giant hunched over with a cylinder sticking out of
its back. I find this
girl in the cylinder wearing this weird suit, which by the way is way to
tight. I pull her and
I'm being told to put on the suit and the headset. I dropped the
headset and found that it was
broken when I reached it. I then found out the girl's name was
Stephanie and that's about it.
What's so important about that headset anyway? The mech seemed to fine
without it."
Maya started the answer her when Gendou stopped her. He pressed a then
brought up a
list of the people stationed at Nerv's second branch. Everyone waited
as he scrolled trough
the list, Kaela some what impatiently. He hid his surprise as he did
indeed find a Stephanie
listed as an Evangelion pilot. One Colonel Stephanie Marie Wolfe, 7th
children. Apparently
Seele had decided to send a pilot that they thought they could control.
A failure which
caused them to send the 17th Angel, Tabris. Interesting that the girl
was listed as a
Colonel with epsilon security clearance. He had listed Rei as a
Lieutenant Colonel with delta
clearance as a precaution so that she could pull rank on anyone but
Fuyutski and himself in an
emergency. Not that such an emergency would ever arise, but one can't
be to cautious. All the
children were technically in the military and held at least a rank of
Warrant Officer. It showed
on her record that this girl had been through OCS in the US National
Guard. Quite impressive for
a 14 year old and even more impressive that Seele had snuck her in under
his nose. Comparing her
picture to Kaela he noticed that there was some minor resemblance. He
would have a DNA analysis
ran to be sure that Kaela wasn't Stephanie Wolfe. If not, then she
would be perfect for his plan.
"Maj. Katsuragi," Gendou said, not looking up from his screen, "take
her and have a DNA
test run. The two of you are dismissed." Misato saluted and led a
confused, but relieved,
Kaela out of the room. "Lt. Ibuki, run a synchronization with Rei in
Unit-04 immediately. I
want that Eva operational as soon as possible."
"But sir, we still need to go over the..."
"That will be all, LT. You are dismissed." Maya stared at him for a
second. Then she
saluted and left his office feeling uneasy about his test.
	"What is going on Gendou?"
"This Stephanie that she was talking about was sent to the second
branch by Seele. If
this girl isn't Stephanie Wolfe then we will have a tool to send
misinformation to Seele by.
Turn their spy against them."
"But will they but it?" asked Fuyutski.
"We only need to have a few minor things changed in her records. It
shouldn't be too
hard to fool them. We'll report this to the committee after the DNA
tests are complete."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Misato took Kaela's sword from the security guard. "Come on, I'll take
you to the
locker room so you can get that shower first." Kaela just nodded
wordlessly. "Don't worry, I'm
sure things will be fine, cheer up." Again, Kaela nodded.
<I don't like this guy Steph,> she said. <This Cdr. Ikari is cunning,
very intelligent,
and strikes me as the type to use people without remorse.>
<You could have tried reading him and found out what he plans to do
with you,> replied
Steph.
	<No! That's something I won't do. Taking thoughts from a persons mind
is worse than
rape. I'll use it to translate what is said until I learn a little
Japanese but that's it. I
need to arrange things so I can't be disposed of.>
<How do we make you indispensable Kaela?>
<He needs you functional, otherwise he would have just had us blasted
earlier. You need
to link with a pilot, right.>
<An Evangelion is an artificial lifeform that needs a child born within
9 months after
the second impact to synchronize with it,> Steph said by rote.
<Nice speech. What you do is not synchronize with anyone but me. That
way Ikari needs
me alive.>
<I'll try. I'll need to rewrite some of he computer programs but that
shouldn't be to
hard.>
<Thanks, later.> Kaela walked into the locker room behind Misato. She
saw the boy,
Shinji she thought, sitting on a bench in black slacks and a button up
shirt sitting on a bench,
staring at a silhouette on a sheet. On the other side of that sheet was
the girl, Rei, putting
back on her plug suit. Her LCL soaked clothes were on the bench next to
Rei. Misato was walking
quietly up to Shinji with an evil smile on her face.
"Sooo, Shinji, trying to catch a glimpse of Rei huh. I thought you
told Asuka you
didn't think these sort of things about your fellow pilots, " teased
Misato in English so Kaela
wouldn't be left out of the joke.
"I-I-I wasn't. I was just," he saw Kaela behind Misato trying not to
laugh. "Why do
you always have to tease me Misato."
"Because it's fun, silly. You always get so flustered and it makes it
even more fun.
I'm inviting Kaela over for dinner, so would you please cook tonight. I
don't want to kill her
with my cooking on her first day here." Shinji stood up and walked out
feeling rather annoyed
with Misato. Kaela and Misato couldn't keep from laughing any longer as
he walked out.
"Your cruel," Kaela said. "I could almost feel sorry for him. What's
this I hear about
dinner?."
"I though you might like to have dinner at my place tonight. It will
give you a chance
to get to know Shinji and Asuka a little better. Be careful what you
say to Asuka though, She's
not the easiest person to be around right now."
"I'll keep that in mind. Is Rei coming to?"
"That's a good idea. Want to come over for dinner Rei?"
"I have a synchronization test with Unit-04 tonight. I do not think I
will be able to
make it over for dinner," Rei replied in her monotone, walking out of
the locker room.
"Does she always talk like that? That's sort of disconcerting," Kaela
said.
"That's just Rei for you. She's been like that since I met them,"
replied Misato. "The
Shower is over there. I'll see about getting you some dry clothes. You
can put your plug suit
in this locker her." Misato pointed to one a couple down from Rei's.
"I'll get your clothes
cleaned for you as well."
"Thanks Misato, you've made me feel welcome. I really appreciate it,"
Kaela said while
pulling off the cassock and tossing it toward the rest of her LCL soaked
clothes. She pulled off
the plug suit and went to the shower as Misato left.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Synchronization is 0%," Maya called over the PA. "I don't understand
this," she said as
she turned to Makoto. "The Eva isn't refusing the connection like
Unit-01, it's more like it
can't synchronize with her. I don't know what's wrong."
"I don't think we can figure this out," Makoto replied. "We just don't
know enough
about the Evangelions to solve this."
"We don't, but I know someone who might" With that, Maya stood and
left heading for
Commander Ikari Gendou's office.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"That uniform look good on you," Misato said to Kaela. "I thought that
you and Maya
looked about the same size so I asked her if you could borrow a
uniform."
"Thanks. That would explain why people are saluting me. Cdr. Ikari
called her a LT.,
Right?" Misato nodded. "So what now?"
"The DNA tests won't be done until tomorrow. You've been released to
me until 1100
tomorrow. Your supposed to see Cdr. Ikari and Sub-Cdr. Fuyutski then.
We'll find out what will
happen to you then. Considering Rei can't synchronize with Unit-04
you'll probably be made a
pilot."
Kaela let a slight smile creep to her mouth hearing this. "What's for
dinner?"
"Probably ramen and rice. Shinji is rather predictable in his cooking,
but at least he
is good at it. I'm afraid I'm not the greatest of cooks."
"If your better the my older brother, I'll be happy. He was so bad,
he'd mess up a soup
sandwich," she finished with laugh. Misato looked at her blankly. "You
don't know that
expression I take it. How about this, he can't even manage a slice of
toast without catching
the toaster on fire."
"I feel better, I think," Misato replied with a grin. "Why is your
hair a different
color now?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I need Dr. Akagi back, sir," Maya said. She was currently standing at
attention in
front of Cdr. Ikari's desk. "The data from our encounter with Unit-04
can't be interpreted
without her. No one else in TechDiv except Dr. Akagi knows as much
about the Evas."
"I was about to promote you to head of Nerv Technical Division, Lt.
Ibuki. Are you
telling me that you can't handle the job?" Gendou asked.
Maya drew in a breath. "If you want to phrase it like that sir, then
yes. Dr. Akagi
was the heart of TechDiv. I don't have the knowledge to accomplish what
she did." Maya then
looked Gendou in the eye (figuratively). "I cannot do this without her.
If you won't release
her then you can have my resignation right now." She practically held
her breath as she waited
for Gendou to reply.
Ikari, for his part, sort of enjoyed watching her sweat. If releasing
Ritsuko is what
took to get things back on track, then so be it. Just because he had
every intention of
granting her request didn't mean couldn't enjoy himself a little. He
answered her when he
decided she had waited enough.
"I will release Dr. Akagi on a couple of conditions. One is that you
will except the
position as Head of TechDiv. Dr. Akagi will work under you on special
leave from me only. She
will have no command authority what so ever. Is this understood
Lieutenant?" Maya nodded,
upset that Ritsuko was not going to be in charge again. "Two is that
you except responsibility
for her actions. If she does anything to harm E-project or any other
project that Nerv handles,
you will be held liable. Understood?" Maya again nodded. She hoped
that her idol wouldn't put
her in jeopardy. "Good, then with your new position comes a promotion
to Captain. This is
effective immediately. You are dismissed Captain Ibuki. I will release
your charge to you
tomorrow."
Maya saluted Cdr. Ikari and left in as daze. She couldn't believe what
had just
happened. She had been promoted to a Captain in the U.N. armed forces
and made head of Nerv
Technical Division. All this at the cost of the person she most wanted
to be. This was worse
than she thought. Had she paid attention as she had left Gendou's
office, she would have saw
his smile. A smile that said the pieces of his plan were all falling
into place.

Keele looked around the table at the rest of Seele. They all had the
same look of worry
and hope on their faces. "It appears that Unit-04 was manned when it
appeared today in Tokyo-3."
"But was our agent inside it?" asked Blue.
"She was trained to be the best possible plant we could place," said
Yellow.
"Who else could it be," answered Green.
"Ikari took a look at her file, it must be her," Purple said.
"Ikari is supposed to update us tomorrow, we should have our answers
then," said Keele.
"I suggest we delay our attack on Nerv and see how this situation plays
itself out. This could
bring things back under our control." The members of Seele voiced their
agreement then
disappeared from view.

*Author's notes:
I know I created all sorts of problems with Kaela not speaking
Japanese. English is
well on its way to becoming the international language now, so why not
in 17 years. Children in
Japan, to my understanding, are taught English in school anyhow.
Besides, having her speak
Japanese is sort of a cop-out anyway. Not many Americans speak it.
Warrant Officers in the military of today don't really exist anymore.
WO-1 is a rank
given more to non-military personnel working for the military who need a
rank for their job.
They have no command authority over anyone except those directly
assigned to them or their area
of expertise. You could call them an officer version of a Specialist-4.
My reasoning for this
is that all the children are pilots for Nerv. As Nerv is a special
operations branch of the
U.N. Armed Forces I felt this applied. Tell me if I'm wrong.
I haven't gotten a feel for the NGE characters in my writing yet. As
this is the first
time I've ever used them I think it's understandable. Any deep insights
into characters are
greatly appreciated. Please e-mail them to me.
I know you don't see Ritsuko slammed into the brig in the series but
it's obvious. She
destroyed a top secret military project during war time. That is
usually grounds for execution.
This way I get to bring back in a character who I felt got shafted for
developing a conscience.
