Hello all!

I thought it would be interesting to post a Suds-kun's Review like I
used to. For those that don't remember, here's a quick description:

Q: What is Suds-kuns reviews?
A: Of the fanfics posted to the FFML that catch my eye and I read, I'll
write a quick quote and comment. Ill also try and list how to get to
the fanfic via an Authors E-Mail or URL. The story will get a Tea
Kettle rating.

Q: What is a Tea Kettle rating?
A: The more Tea Kettles I give, the more I liked/enjoyed the
story. The most I give out are five.

One = I started to read the fic, but stopped.
Two = A good fic that made me read the whole thing.
Three = A really good fic that I enjoyed reading.
Four = A Great Fic that is heartily recommended.
Five = Awesome Fic!!!! "Whoa!" @.@ Must Read!
dead Ryouga = You went and got me all depressed. If I stop
reviewing after I list your fic, you REALLY
              got me depressed.

Q: What happened to the archive number?
A: The New FFML(TM) does not have an archive (as of yet). Any word on
www.fanfic.com WW?

Now for the reviews:

Quick Quote: Ranma smiled, "I was thinking about you, about how nice
this feels..."
Quick Quote 2: "Protection? Ranma thought to herself."
Comments: Ridgewolfe posted part 2 back on Wed, 18 Dec 1996. The scary
thing is that I remembered this continuation of "A Couple of Dips." I
like this story and realy think that it's the best handling of Ranma
and Akane's "condition."

Posted Date: Mon, 23 Mar 1998 18:15:16 PST (Chapter 7)
Posted Date: Thu, 02 Apr 1998 19:45:33 PST (Chapter 8)
Posted Date: *not yet, but on home page* (Chapter 9)
E-Mail: harnums@hotmail.com
URL: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Bay/9758
Quick Quote Chap 6: One punch. Straight to the throat.
Quick Quote Chap 7: "I'd been wondering when I'd hear from you again.
Your last report was so... inadequate."
Quick Quote Chap 8: "For someone who knows as many female martial
artists as you do, you have a remarkable attitude towards women,"
Cologne said.
Quick Quote Chap 9: "Don't touch me, husband. You don't have any
right. Not anymore."
Comments: In the past two months, I've started look forward to each
installment of this series. It's a very good continuation and has given
plenty of plot twists. Kima and Cologne are a good example. If you
haven't read chapter 9, do so NOW! It has a VERY good handling of
Konatsu and starts off a whole new plot thread. Alan, are you sure you
can handle all these different plot threads?

Quick Quote: Akane! What the hell was that? Did I wake up living in a
Kurosawa movie today?
Comments: I really like the idea that Ranma and Akane have this secret.
But what is Ranma doing? Is he just waiting for Nabiki to fix
everything and then return?

Quick Quote Part 3: "So are you going to kill her?"
Quick Quote Part 4: " Note to self, avoid seeing Ryoga. Especially if
he knows what's happened."
Quick Quote Part 5: " Ryoga is as aquaphobic as you can get."
Quick Quote Part 6: "Because you are an arrogant, egotistical, self-

Quick Quote Vol 3 Chap 2: "Then why'd you have sex with him?"
Quick Quote Vol 3 Chap 3: "You haven't snuck off to do anything, have
you?"
Quick Quote Vol 3 Chap 4: Two janitors enter the gym and looked at the
mess. They then turned to the principal and said, "We quit."
Quick Quote Vol 3 Chap 5: "You did that with him because he was a
jerk?!"
Comments: I liked the part where Ryouga and Akari crashed the dance.
The dance and fight were good, but the spot with Hiro seemed a bit
forced ^_-. The part with Tarou and the pools sounds wonderfully
sinister. Heh. ^_^

Quick Quote 1: Mousse broke another pen. He simply reached in his desk
drawer and withdrew another one.
Quick Quote 2: The fifteenth night, I could no longer help myself.
Comments: I had all but given up hope that Ranma2096 would continue or
survive until I read this fic. It captured the essence of the main
Ranma2096 stories by Mr. Willmore and sparked my interest in the series
once again.

Quick Quote Part 6: C'mon, I bet you looked at Ranma's plenty of times.
Quick Quote Part 7 #1: "You shouldn't be so selfish, young lady. After
all, you still have Mr. Kuonji to bestow your affections on."
Quick Quote Part 7 #2: "Hey, Ryouga," Nabiki called. "We need your
opinion on something."
Comments: I really like this series. It just seems to go one forever.
^_^ It looks like the Ranko stories are going to be awhile in coming.
The plot threads are thick, heavy and will take some time to wrap up.
Let's see, the Kunous' Mother, Hinako-sensei, Ukyou/Nabiki,
Ukyou/Ryouga, Kasumi/Tofu, Shampoo/Mouse, Ranma/Akane, etc.

Quick Quote (#6): "Afraid that won't work," Urd said, examining the

Keiichi, dialed the wrong number?

we're just friends, okay?"
Quick Quote Part 3: Akane felt my forehead. "You're definitely not
back to normal yet."
Quick Quote Part 4: 'The ultimate test...'
Comments: I was surprised by this story. Normally, I would skip a fic
that starts out like a hundred others. This one caught my interest and
gave me a WAFF from the very beginning.

the curse,"
Comments: Okay. This one scared me. I thought Takahashi-sama had left a
small plot hole in the series, but Alan blows it wide open. @_@

mumbled.
Comments: When Lurker first posted this, I looked forward to see what
happened to everyone and why they were acting the way they did.
Nikholas has since picked up the idea and run with it. Where he's
going, I'm not sure. ^_^ It seems that it is in a direction a little
different than the Lurker's. Not better or worse, just different.

Comments: My interest has been piqued. What is the purpose/meaning of
this story? It seems that question will be answered in "Chapter Two."
It's hard to say how good/bad this story is without answering some of

Quick Quote 2: "He is the first. The first of many. Look upon his
wicked countenance as he changes forms like a true hellspawn!"
Quick Quote 3: And she was alone. That was the worst part of it all.
Quick Quote 4: The hand seemed to wave at her.
Comments: Whoa. *ahem* Uhm, well, the story... (suds-kun nervously taps
his fingers on the table) Hmmff. You know, when Akane first learned of
Perdita's existence, she thought that she should have seen her spirit
in the past 100 years. That scene seems to conflict, slightly, with the
"hand" scene. *shudder*

Quick Quote: "YOU WANT TO WHAT?!?"
Long Quote: "I'm returning to Japan to face an inquisition by my own
people, to rescue my sister from all the nut-cases that refuse to leave
her alone, and NOW I have to keep an eye out for an escaped and
possibly dangerous felon who has an axe to grind with my family."
Nabiki paused, her face a mixture of anger and frustration, before
gesturing towards Sodoshi. "And to top it all off, our daughter has
YOUR eating habits."
Comments: This is one of the fanfic series that I look forward to
reading. This chapter wasn't as 'busy' as other chapters, but a very
good setup for the plot threads in the above quote. I don't know if
Nabiki will be able to fix Sodoshi's preference in cereal. ^_^

Quick Quote Part 1: She was a model employee. But the air of depression
was still there.
Quick Quote Part 2: "No! he'll be killed!"
Comments: I really like this, and I'm glad that there is a second part
to the story. I had feared that Part 1 was a one shot. Part 2 was a
very good follow up.

Ranma: Ill Met By Starlight

Quick Quote #1: I don't know what we're going to do, Nabiki.
Quick Quote #2: "But I love her."
Quick Quote #3: But if it had been a month more, two months, a year...
then I would have been helplessly, completely, utterly in love with
her.
Comments: This is a good example of a great fanfic. The story is told
in such a way that you can't stop reading. One thing, though. The IMBS
Ranma is evil. Susan and Mike are doing a good job of making you feel
sorry for a sociopathic killer. *brrrr* Just remember, the ending of
IMBS doesn't have to be bitter. Okay?

Comments: A 'bug' is the only explanation for Belldandy disobeying
Kami-sama.

Quick Quote Part 18: That would be most improper to run away from
guests like that.
Quick Quote Part 19: You wanted to know, and now you will.
Comments: I'm glad to see that Lara has continued "Twisted Destiny."
Her take on the 3x3 Eyes meld just opens so many possibilities and Part
19 is a good example. So, did Richard dance to the 'Ooga Chaka' song?
Heh.

Quick Quote: What? Nabiki said what?
Comments: This is a different Ranma and Akane story. The story so far
is good, but the funky punctuation characters were distracting.

Quick Quote Prelude: "Tho Hiroshi and Daisuke nailed us again."
Quick Quote Part 1: "This is either gonna be real interesting or real
stupid," muttered Ranma.
Quick Quote Part 2: "Feel the testosterone flow," said Ukyou dryly.
Quick Quote Part 3: The crowd 'ooh'ed. Personal insults. This was
good.
Quick Quote Part 4: "Nah, no big *OW* watch it, you tomboy!"
Quick Quote Part 5: "Saw the little kiss back there," said Yuka.
Quick Quote Epilogue: Who needed magic when you had love?
Comments: One thing. I thought that the 'Hiryu Shouten Ha' uses the
opponent's 'hot' ki and not the fighter's ki? Wow, after all of that
and only one nit-pick. Great story! I loved Lai-Ri Ku-Lee Moh. ^_^

Quick Quote: "Um... what's a guyecolgy?" Ranma asked, he hadn't really
paid attention.
Comments: Actually, this series is kinda fun to read, even with the
dark overtones. And no, it's not because of the lemon scenes. Well,
maybe. ^_^
