Of course, my near-reverential respect for the Bat will not keep me from some
brutally honest C&C.
Heheh. I've got worse. It'll just take me a little while to get through
the whole fic. ^_-
Her thoughts were broken as Priss waved a hand in her face.
"Hm?"
"Hey, you're lookin' a little zoned out there," said Priss.
"You okay?"
"Yes, just... thinking about something. That's all."
I have to disagree with this characterization. Sylia does not 'zone.'
ESPECIALLY not in public. The closest she ever comes is her Hyper-Recall
machine.
I beg to differ, but that's only 'cause Sylia zones in _my_ fic. 8)
Sylia certainly does "gaze thoughtfully" all the time. That's because
she actually stops to think about things.
//FLIGHT 2424 TO GOTHAM NOW BOARDING//
"That's my flight."
After exchanging respectful gazes with Priss, patting Linna
on the shoulder, and tolerating a goodbye wail and hug from
Nene, Sylia left.
The three remained, watching the plane soar off into the
morning skies, all uneasy at the departure of their leader.
The silence was broken when Priss elbowed Linna gently.
There's no polite way to accuse somebody of this, so I'll just say it; you
lifted this straight from Crash! part three, didn't you?
Wouldn't know, never saw it. ^^;;
[The Greasy Cow - Tinseltown]
[Hellfire, Tinseltown]
I assume in both cases you mean Tinsel CITY.
Yep, that would be it.
"All right, everybody! Just 'cause I'm feelin' in a
nostalgic mood tonight, I think we'll go with the request
from the big friggin mutant to the left!"
The big friggin mutant to the left cheered triumphantly.
Awright! Hey everybody, let's congratulate Rod for his first obvious self-
insertion! ^_^
LOL!!

o/~ We'll get WILD WILD WILD! o/~
o/~ WILD WILD WILD! o/~
Please, please, PLEASE tell me that this isn't an actual song.
Actually... ^^;;;
This would fit right in with Priss' style. Of course, it would be about
40ish years out of date by then, but... ;)
I'd tend to disagree. She may be a rocker but she's always struck me as
more along the lines of Pat Benatar than Quiet Riot.
When the Law got grouchy, it made sure it didn't suffer
alone.
Traffic and parking tickets were being written with
unmerciful speed and extreme prejudice.
Police brutality was up by fifty percent.
ADP's brutality gone UP? That's not possible without resorting to tac-nukes.
Heheh. Just you wait... *snigger* I've got MUCH worse coming your way
in Slipt.
Nene thought this was rather unfair. After all, she was the
one that hit him with the door.
"I'm, ah, Horiuchi Toshi."
"Yamakazi Linna."
Amazingly enough, this is the ONE series of Anime that takes place in Japan
where this is incorrect. For some reason, in the BGC universe, they've adopted
the western use of names. I've yet to see one instance where the family name
was placed first: It's always "SYLIA Stingray," (Largo really went out his way
to drive home THAT point) or "NENE Romanove" or "PRISCILLA S. Asagiri." I dare
anybody to show me one documented instance in Crisis, Crash! or the ADPFiles
where the proper japanese was used.
Of course, if Jeanne Hedge or any of the other hardcore BGC fans out there
come up with some, I'll look like (even more of) a fool.
No, there aren't any examples. The reason is apparently that Megatokyo
is highly Westernised. Not culturally Japanese at all. Heck, Priss
eats nothing but beef and italian food, and not even counting the
tremendous influx of Western immigrants, most of the characters
have western first names. There are times when I doubt they even speak
any more Japanese than do the characters of Riding Bean. Of course that
may be one of it's dystopic elements.
Hey, who said they didn't know a good thing when they saw it? ^_-
And of course, a parting shot at what' s just a simple typo, yet I can't
resist pointing it out: YamaZAKI, not YamaKAZI.
Good thing it wasn't Kamikazi. If he'd said that, I'd be forced to
grumble about the gods being crazy, or something stupid like that... ^_-

I just finished watching Demon City Shinjuku. Rather reminded of me of
Bubblegum Crisis actually. There's a crossover fer ya. Although it
also clarified for me just why certain authors are so in love with the
idea of Kuno the hereditary demon-hunter.
