All, this is in the vein of the weird crossover ideas thread, but not by much.
i was watching Arcadi of my youth, GE999 and AdeiuGE999 a while ago, and i
noticed something.  Leiji Matsumoto draws women with REALLY long hair.  That
is not what this spam is about however.  After i watched these great movies, i
went online and i went to various fanfic sites.  i went to a sailor moon one
and i noticed something.  Sailor Pluto has really long hair.  that idea stayed
in a head for a while. anyway, i went to the local suncoast and i was looking
through the racks of anime and i cam across the cover for, i think, farewell
yamato, or somesuch like that. i looked at it curiously for a moment and it
hit me, the guy there looked a lot like Shutaro Mendo.  That got me thinking,
hmm.. what other characters in anime look like they belong, character design
wise, in a matsumoto epic.  so, what about a massive smoosh (this is what i
call a fic with characters from sooo many different series, with a sorta
fusion basis) with characters from anime not from matsumoto that would seem to
belong, either design or personality wise, in a matsumoto epic.  think about
it.
