What's really frightening is that I was thinking of a Babylon 5 Ranma xover
last night. Problem was that it would end the Shadow War far too quickly:

[Team Ranma and company are in hyperspace on the Whitestar waiting to open a
gate near Z'ha'dum. The group has Happosai cornered and are backing him into a
lifepod]

Ranma: OK you old pervert, into the pod.

Happosai: No! No! I don't wanna go!!! Why do I have to go???!!!

Genma and Soun (in tearful unison): Oh! Master! How we will miss you! What a
way to go.

Happosai: Ranma, as my greatest student, you should go to Z'ha'dum and take
care of those nasty Shadows. [begins looking furtively for a route of escape]

Akane [sarcastically]: Great plan Ranma. [to Happosai] I thought you were the
great master. Are you too scared to go down there and squish a few spiders?

Happosai [disdainfully]: Of course I'm not afraid! But as Master of the School
of Anything Goes Martial Arts, it is beneath my dignity to take on such a
lowly
mission. It is Ranma's duty as my heir to take up this task. [begins edging
towards Sound and Gen ma, seeing them as the weak links.]

Nabiki [appearing from nowhere, leaning casually on a bulkhead]: Oh,
please. Do
I have to do everything? [turns to Happosai] Didn't they tell you of the
Shadow's ultimate goal?

[Happosai pauses and looks mildly curious]

Ranma: What ult.... OOOFFF!!! [as he is elbowed by Akane]

Nabiki: Didn't they tell you that the Shadows have sworn to destroy all of the
lingerie in the universe.

[Happosai goes pale and his jaw drops]

Happosai: They WHAT????!!! No time to waste, don't worry my silky darlings,
Happi will save you!

[Happosai jumps into the pod, pulls the door shut, and the Whitestar opens the
jump point and spits the old pervert into the face of the unsuspecting
Shadows.]

And thus, it is written did the Shadow War come to an abrupt and victorious
end.


I also had some other thoughts. What if Delenn had access to hammerspace?

"I have sworn to do whatever is within my power to see that you do not take
leadership of the Rangers."

<WHAM!!!!>


Finally, on another B5 note, three words: Voltron vs. Shadows. I don't even
wanna think about it


Heading into other territory, I just preordered the Starship Troopers and
Ranma
1/2 DVDs that are coming out  next month, and I was wondering if anyone had
tried this crossover yet?

Lastly, while speculating on these other ideas I thought, how about the
adventures of the Starship Ikkoku, lost in the Delta quadrant, with Captain
Kyoko Otonashi fighting hard to get her crew home through many adventurous and
dangerous experiences and despite the fact (or maybe because of the fact) that
they are driving her absolutely insane. 

I'm not sure who would be cast where, except that the holographic doctor _has_
to be Yotsuya. Just _think_ of the terrifying possibilities! <shudder>

Well, that my thoughts and ideas, if someone is inspired by any of my ideas
here, go for it. If I had time to write and freedom from writer's block I
would
have finished the six other stories I am working on before I even thought of
Ranma /Troopers or Voyager/Ikkoku.
