This fic isn't exactly like similar to Herman's Head, but it does bring
out a lot of the same concepts.  It's a fic about Multiple-Personality
Disorder (MPD) called "A Stained Glass Mind" by Mr. Anand Rao.  (Yeah
yeah.  So I'm big on promoting other people's work.  What can I say? 
When you see something good, you minus as well let people know about it).
 You can find it at <http://www.deranged-otaku.com>.  But I don't think
that should really stop you, though.  Just as long as you avoid writing
about the same things Anand writes about you should be safe.  IMHO of
course.  Ja mata!
