Oh, the possibilities, the possibilities.  I saw the movie -- funny as
hell, especially the interaction btwn Jack Burton (forgot his rl name...)
and the Chinese guy (forgot his name too).  Egg Shen was priceless as
well.  He's done a lot of great comedic roles.

Jack Burton was played by Kurt Russell. Wang Chi by Dennis Dun. The evil
Lo Pan was played by James Hong, and Egg Shen was played by Victor Wong.

"Big Trouble in Little China" was one of the three classic John
Carpenter-Kurt Russell team-ups. The other two were "The Thing," and
"Escape From New York."  "Escape From L.A." was amusing, but certainly
not a claasic, as it was a rehashed "EFNY" script with a bigger special
effects budget.

Stuff to look for:
1) Confrontation (or clash) btwn Jack and Ranma.  Two arrogant,
loud-mouth, head-strong, act before you think, egotistical, etc... guys.
Of course, we all know Ranma would kick some butt... right?!

Of course! Jack Burton is one of those guys who's mouth is bigger than
his brain, and who's guts (read courage/chutzpah) are bigger than his
mouth. He's a blowhard, but an amusing one. There is no question about
the outcome of a fight between Ranma and Burton, especially when you
consider that this would be post "Chasing the Wind" Ranma.

2) *faint*  Once Jack sees the gals, how's he gonna keep from drooling
over 'em?  And will the guys (Ranma, Ryouga, Mousse, etc.) be able to
stop from killing him?

Trust me, Jack is so full of himself that the assorted men would never
even have to step in. The women can take care of themselves.

3) Why would Egg send jack after Happosai?  I mean, Happy vs. Jack?  Even
though Jack did kill that undead guy (okay, so I haven't seen the movie
in a long time...), how can he hope to match up against the Master of the
Anything Goes Martial Arts School?

He sent Jack to get something from Happosai. He knows that Jack Burton
has that combination of courage and plain dumb luck to pull it off. Even
if he can't get it, he's still doing Jack a favor by getting him out of
California while the whole "Big Trouble in Little China" incident blows
over. There is also the possibility that Jack might find a powerful ally
in Cologne for having killed Lo Pan.
 

Just a few things I'd think you might need to deal with.  But anything
that has to do with Hiro is fine by me.  He's a very interesting
character, one that fits into the Ranmaverse quite nicely.  Not an
all-powerful martial artist or a pumped up steriod-driven bruiser, but
just a well-trained mercenary.  Plus he adds a level of maturity to the
group, and with the Nerima gang, that's always a plus.  You guys did a
great job developing his character in "Chasing the Wind."

Hiro will definitely be an interface between Jack and the rest of the
cast. That was his role in "Chasing the Wind," and he's well suited to
it. One of the things to remember about Hiro is that several cast
members do not know him, and vice versa. (Cologne, Shampoo, Mousse,
Happosai, plus the lesser members.) Bridget has suggested that the two
of them form a companionship similar to the two truck drivers "Goro" and
"Gun" in that most excellent Juzo Itami film on food and sex, "Tampopo."
 

Hope you decide to go through with it.  Ja ne.

Judging on the vast and positive response I received from this spamfic,
I'm sure you'll see it within the next six to eight weeks.
