There are only two "evil" regulars in Ranma 1/2:

Happousai, the dirty old pervert
Mousse, who has a blatent disregard for anyone who gets in his
way. (He changes in Vol 23, but for most normal fanfics..)

Genma isn't evil. Lots of other things yes, but not evil.

Ranma 1/2 is based on a "shoot first and search the body after"
philosophy. When you add in the fact that all the characters have
their own adjendas which don't agree with anyone else's it makes
for a very volatile and destructive place.

Shampoo doesn't chase Ranma because of Cologne, she
chases him because she wants him. She tries to kill Akane when
she thinks she can get away with it.
Despite the numerous fics in which Shampoo is viewed as something
more than a purple-haired bimbo (erk, please, don't kill me for that), I
tend to think her one-mindedness is a bit ... frightening. I think the
main impediment that keeps her from killing Akane outright is Ranma, and
how much he'd hate her if she did. Other than that, I think Shampoo
would stop at nothing to achieve her goals. IMHO of course.

Mousse isn't trying to win Shampoo's heart when he fights
Ranma.. Mousse wants Ranma _dead_.
Probably a result of his and Shampoo's upbringing (Amazon
principles), but most likely true, nonetheless. I'm not martial artist,
but Mousse seems bent on inflicting terminal damage on Ranma whenever
they battle.

For all of Ryouga's "honor," he always tries to doublecross
Ranma when they are forced to work together. He never gets
away with it because Ranma often beats him to it.
I think I've grown accustomed to Ryouga only because of the
numerous fics in which he is written as a reasonable, thinking human
being. In fact, I think he is far from that characterization. His
single-mindedness is extremely similar to Shampoo's. Also, just like
Shampoo doesn't kill Akane because of Ranma, Ryouga wouldn't kill Ranma
(if he could) because of Akane.

Nodoka is happy for Ranma because his goals are the same as
hers. If he should stray.. out comes the katana! She can very
easily say "I love you" while cutting his head off.
The one thing I don't agree on. There's basically nothing to
substantiate this. Most of our opinions of Nodoka comes from Genma and
Ranma's opinion that she WILL force them to commit seppeku. Of course,
Takahashi-sama allowed them to reveal their secret w/o committing
seppeku. Everything I've seen of Nodoka (anime and manga) makes me
believe Nodoka is a kind and caring woman. IMHO of course.

Whenever a "powerful evil dude" shows up, the characters fight
each other as much as if not more than they fight the bad guy. The
movies don't count since Takahashi had no part in making them.

It's strange how a series basically meant for children or teenagers(?)
could contain such underlying themes of violence and destruction. Err,
actually, that sounds rather stupid considering other anime series. To
clarify my comment, it's strange how Ranma can be hilariously funny and
kawaii one minute, then become violent and aggressive the next. It's
basically a show about a bunch of over-powered martial artists running
around creating havoc. A very appealing and fun show (my favorite in
fact) , but a bit scary nonetheless.

Err, I've never gotten a flame before, and I'm probably gonna get a few
because of this. Regardless, I'm definitely interested in learning more
about the Ranmaverse, so bring 'em on! Ja mata.
