Man, I think I should have put my standard flame disclaimer on my last
message... See why below.

Unfortunately for -you-, Draxon, whatever method used to file/label/tag
fanfics an author uses is their right, and thusly, you have no right
telling people to do something else.

As of yet, only Tybalt and WWolf have that right; if they want it done,
then they'll say so, I'm sure, but as long as the tag is readable, and
correct, then there shouldn't be any problems.

Draxon speaks (drum roll please)

Are you a total idiot or did you just ignore the parts in my message that
said 'not a major gripe' and 'i can't stop you'? Don't turn every issue
into a 'someone's right to do something' thing. And never tell me I don't
have the right to *ask* someone else to do something, because I very much
do.

Will someone send a copy of the FFML FAQ my way? I think I remember seeing
something about the 'correct' way to post a fanfic in there.

Also, for your information, Kevin - the only purpose I wanted people to
adopt a standard for labeling is so that everyone's fanfics are included in
my auto-archive. You know what I use that archive for? To answer the 'I
need last weeks fanfics' requests and the 'oh my god my hard drive got
smashed, send me my fanfics' requests. Excuse me for wanting to render a
service. Note that I don't read a good deal of the fanfics that get
archived, and those that arent archived are either moved manually or deleted
on the spot -- oops, I guess I might not be able to help someone out if they
want one of those fanfics.

If you want to label your fanfics without the [fanfic] part, fine by me.
I'll delete them and be well off without them. If I see a lot of people
using a similar method I'll update my 'rules' file and make it archive those
as well.

One final thing: When I post a message to the ML it is rarely to start a
discussion unless I openly ask for one. If someone disagrees with me on a
subject I dont argue with them, because I generally don't care what they
think and I know they can get by just fine with their own opinions. This is
my first and last confrontational message posted to the ML on this subject,
so don't expect to be able to draw me into an argument on this one. I'll
see you all again when I have something worthwhile to discuss.
