everyone decided to use non-standard labels for their fanfics.
I went nuts trying to create my author-fanfic database because of the
wide variety of label formats (or lack thereof). Unfortunately, I
don't think it's possible to automatically identify fanfics (unless
one uses yet to be available AI technology :), so my system just
automatically enters what posts it can identify, with me manually
entering the rest.
I too would really like everybody using the label format as specified
in the FAQ, but I think hell has a larger chance of freezing over than
this ever happening. :(
Anyways, there's another gripe I have with the labeling of some
people's posts, and it's that they seem to put too much in the tags
like this:
[Really Really Dark Fanfic][Desparately needing comments!][Don't read
this children!] Some title
These kinds of subjects look *really* silly.
