Ah, Spring! Flowers blossoming, the sun above,
time to shove the winter blues away,
as young people everywhere get ready to frolic and flirt,
(and raise a little heck.)
On any case, I was wondering what effect a certain group of well known
characters, full of youthful energy and raging hormones, would have on
everyday life in a certain Japanese district. After a few years of putting up
with the Gang, I felt like the populous would need their own ocassional break,
and this little fragment was born.
(While I am at it , I make almost no direct references, but the standard
spamfic & FF disclaimers still apply, etc.)

*******Spring Break*******
The district had changed. The first clue that something had happened was
noted by the local neighborhood watch group. In spite of unseasonably early
spring weather, no harassment complaints had been filed locally by any women
in the last few weeks. The local High school had required no new windows or
doors, and the various parks and playing fields remained free of impact
craters. An unusual peace and quiet pervaded some notoriously troublesome
households. The regional economy had gone into a slump, as construction
companies reported that wall and roof repairs had dropped back to levels
considered normal elsewhere in Japan, and the local wholesale stores reported
drops on the sales of bandannas and spatulas, two of their most popular items
for the area. Further inquiries made to the nearest airport found that Air
Traffic Controllers had spotted no unusual objects headed towards LEO
lately.
The most sensible claimed that it had been caused by illegal dumping from a
nearby chemical plant. Others attributed it to a desperate plan from
overwrought city employees. Yet another faction claimed that it had been
caused when one of the many deliverymen (You know, the ones that seem to show
up at odd hours around certain well-known households and Chinese eating
establishments) was forced to quickly dispose of unsold merchandise near the
water reservoir. Whatever the truth was, the effects had been drastic.
After the information became widespread knowledge, requests for testing to
determine the cause were quickly put in the desks of City Officials. Said
requests were quickly approved and rigorously applied, but no definite cause
was ever found. (Much to the chagrin and detriment of most residents, life
returned to "normal" all too quickly in the Nerima District with the first
spring showers.)

I don't really know what to do with it, since it really is not much more than
a rough sketch, so I decided to send it out, and see what happens if I ask if
anyone feels like flavoring a spamfic within this setting.
