Y'know, I think that we're all sort of missing the point of a fusion,
here. If perfectly matching a character's personality was so wonderful,
then we could just buy a Star Wars book, and pencil in the names with
Ranma 1/2 characters. It's a hell of a lot more fun when the character is
completely OCC from the "normal" personality.

"Nabiki runs the local Mafia? Yawn. Happosai is the empitome of evil?
Yawn. Kasumi in a fighter? What the heck...? That's pretty neat!"

-This- is where a writer will truly show their creativity; how to diverge
from the movie's intent, yet accomplish all of the major parts in the end
(or not).

Over spring recess, I had the idea where I would write a Ran/SW fusion
(No, I didn't know about the ongoing Ranma Wars before I thought up the
idea). I soon found that the IC character scenes were merely reiterations
of the movie, while the OCC parts were a hell of a lot better. So, I
decided to miscast everyone, and found that all of the major scenes have
practically written themselves.

Actually, it's gotten so bad, that the only reason that Luke is played by
Ranma is that I don't know enough about Konatsu, and Sasuke isn't really
developed enough in R.5 to play the role...

I've barely started stringing all the scenes together, so don't hold your
breath.
