Okay, I read this due to Azusa saying to.
**********She's so nice to do that for me. I had second thoughts about
posting anymore since it seemed like no one read my first post.
I had saved it to read, but that made me read it a lot sooner. Anyway, it
was well written enough,
though the HTML was quite annoying (not everything gets converted with
my program). However, the story read like a FFIV/Titanic crossover. I
realize that this will not stay like this I'm sure, once the story gets
underway. Unfortunately, the similarities sort of got to me, and it
would be better if you changed this entirely (not the story line, but
some of the diologue).
All in all, not bad, and I await more.

*****************<begin defensive rant. This is purely for my enjoyment, so
if you don't want to read... go to the "end rant" thingy.> Okay... I've
gotten many comments from my friends about that (good and bad) "Titanic"
thing -- see I didn't mean to do that. I wrote this around three weeks
after I saw the movie the first time (seen it 3 times -- always got better
[in my opinion. I don't want to start a discussion about the ups and downs
of Titanic. There's been a debate at my school ever since the movie came
out on if it was good, bad, and whether it should be seen again, so...]) so
I pretty much didn't mean to do anything Titanic like. The "you jump I
jump" thing was a suggestion from my friend Brynne -- who has never seen
Titanic, by the way -- who adores Final Fantasy, and was always a fan of the
Edge-Rydia thing. Just part of his characterization. It wasn't in my
pre-writing, or plan, or anything. The whole "flying sunset" thing was
just... well... it fit. I was trying to make a romantic atmosphere (the
sunset on the hill), and then I was trying to describe what Rydia was
feeling. I figured, the reason she got the idea to jump off the castle was
because of a *flying* bird, and flying symbolizes freedom -- which was all
Rydia wanted from that Blaine guy -- and... well look at it this way.
You're wearing really airy clothes (and in Rydia's case, a thin shawl) and a
breeze is blowing against you. You close your eyes. What are you gonna
feel like you're doing -- swimming? Edge closing her eyes, telling her to
trust him etc. was my attempt at romantic build-up (pretty sorry, ne?).
See, I noticed the Titanic similarities too... but a lot later. I read it,
and something bugged me about it, like it reminded me of something, but me,
being quite slow and un-receptive, didn't realize it until I'd seen Titanic
again. Sorry! <end rant>
Thank you for the comments. They are much appreciated (hint to others!!!)
