I'm sending this out to see what people think of it... obviously, but
more specifically, if they think it's a good idea at its core or not.
Thanks.
PM Productions Presents
A Phillip Masters Fanfic
Descendants
Prologue (ideafic version)
Continuity Note: This takes place just before Kagato shows up in the
OVA, and branches off from there in a serious way.
Shameful... that's what they would call it. To have an affair, to
make love to the one who is not your fiancee... it would be deemed
sinful, and he would be rejected. He would be cast out of the Royal
House, forced to never see the majestic beauty of Jurai ever again. He
simply couldn't take it. The landscape of Earth was a perfection of its
own, but still couldn't compare in his mind to the absolute brilliance
that was his homeworld. What was he to do to save his heritage? If she
spoke, would they believe her?
Of course not. Ayeka would laugh out loud, an abyss of pure
denial. Tenchi wouldn't be far behind, as it would question all he knew
of his own family... his own blood. How much of it was human is
important to him, and I would not want to be the one to destroy his
beliefs, however unfounded they may be. There's a reason his line has
been as powerful as it has been. Tenchi is almost half alien, and that
half is not entirely Juraian. Some of it has no classification, other
than that given by his unknown Great-great... etc, etc... Grandmother.
Her origins are competely and truly undiscovered, he wasn't even
sure if she herself knew. He himself was born of Masaki and Azusa, to
become crown prince of Jurai, before he ran off to destroy his enemy.
He failed in his mission, in the worst possible way. Yet, he would never
regret it... for, because of his temporary weakness he gained infinite
strength. He had also gained Achika, and subsequently, Tenchi... two
lives he would sooner die for than give up.
He loved his family, and he still loved his consort. However,
seven hundred years of self-confinement can do things to a person's
mind. She seperated herself from the motherly instinct she felt for
Tenchi, and decided to become his playmate instead. She further mistook
the feelings of caring she felt for him as feelings of adoration and
love... a love so deeply engrained that she couldn't fathom it.
If she still remember him, she didn't show it. But it doesn't stop
the hurting any, the feeling of loss and helplessness. He wasn't used
to that feeling, but he could handle it. He had spent the past seven
hundred years in preparation for the time he knew would come. The
resurrection of his Ryouko, and the rebirth of his greatest secret.
END
Well, that about gets the full idea across. Of course, this change in
story will effect the Kagato incident drastically from the original.
It's up to feedback whether this gets explored or expanded any further
by me. Send comments, and thanks for reading.
