BTW, since you mentioned it, there's a misconception that people seem to
have about Genma arranging umpteen different fiancees for Ranma -- usually
in exchange for food. In actuality, Genma sold his son for a meal ONCE,
and ONLY once, namely to Ukyo's Dad.

In the manga, sure.  In the anime, there were at least two other occasions
(see the episode "It's Fast or it's Free").
