Uh-huh. Right. And you didn't answer my point, I notice. Why not?
Didn't I? The entire argument boils down to weather Ryouga did what
he
did out of selfish motives or not. You're claim is that he didn't have
selfish motives, he rather had delusions of Ranma forcing himself on
Akane. I
Not delusions. From what he's seen, he's got every right to believe that
that's true.
Only if he is very selective with what he remembers seeing and
distorts that to near delusional levels. Which is what I said. Though not
in enough words I guess
on the other hand have seen no signs of motivation beyond his Desire for
affection from Akane.
I'll name a couple, if you'd like. Examples: Japanese Nanniichuan, when
he absolutely doesn't want to go into the locker room and see the (mostly)
naked Akane. Evil Oni - Takahashi didn't draw him in there looking ashamed
in the pictures for no reason, you know. And as a more general statement
of evidence, every (IIRC) time Akane is shirtless, Ryoga doesn't attempt to
get a peek at her.
Of course not Ryouga's the shyest member of the cast. You're trying
to prove he's not being P-chan out of lecherous intent, but that's not what
he's being accused of. Ryouga doesn't want to look at her, he wants her to
act affectionately toward him. THAT is the single thing that motivates him
to be P-chan.
Except for isolated incidents like when Happosei tried
to disguise himself as P-Chan.
Here, let me ask you this: when *has* Ryoga shown that he stays with Akane
at night because he's thinking lecherous/perverted thoughts?
He hasn't and I never said he had. I said that he wanted AFFECTION.
He stays with Akane because he wants her to cuddle and make a big deal
over him. To act like he's more than a friend to her, even if it's because
of a lie.

The older man, Genma, snorted. "Believe me, boy. The Conerians aren't
the brightest bunch around, but they know a Pravok name when they hear one.
One whisper of our real names to them, and we're goners." He made a
gesture of a sword slicing through a neck, which was enough to quell any of
Ryoga's complaints.
"Fine, fine," Ryoga consented with a sigh. "I still think it's sort of
a dishonorable thing to do, hiding our identities and all."
Genma smirked. "Better dishonorable than dead, boy. You'd best
remember that."
