Hey... I'm not the only Goodkind fan around here. I'll add my recomendation
for the series. It's easily the best fantasy series I've ever read.

And, just so everyone knows, the Sword of Truth series consists of:
Wizards First Rule
Stone of Tears
Blood of the Fold
Temple of the Winds

They're all available from TOR books (Temple only in hardcover at the moment.)

Chapter One

        "Richard!!!!  Richard!!!!  Please don't die." A woman with long >red
hair wearing an elegant white dress flowing down the length of her body
wept.
In her arms was the man she loved.  They had finally discovered their true
feelings for each other only to have it stripped away by a poisoness >arrow.
Tears were flowing down her eyes as she held him in his final moments.  >She
was the one who was suppose to be the protector not him.  She was the one
who
was suppose to die not him.  It should never have been him.  She was the >one
who pledged to protect him.  In the end it was her fault that he was going
to
die.  If only she was better, faster.  With these thoughts she wept some
more.

          It was a rainy day in Nerima.  Ranma-chan was in the bathroom
preparing for bed.  Suddenly a Bolt of Lightning struct the tree outside >the
window.  That was not what startled her.  The sound of Thunder that >followed
it shook her more than anything.  A blinding flash of pain suddenly shoot
through her head.  Looking into the mirror at her unbraided long red hair, >a
single thought passed through her mind, "Kahlan." 

Okay. I don't have my copy of W1R on me, so I'm not totally sure. But I think
Kahlan Amnell's hair is blond-ish, not red.

Other than that, it looks pretty good.
