Well I think that if you look at the whole Eva series, you would notice that
Asuka fell for Kengi because he is a man.  Have you seen how often she yells
at Shinji.  Where is his backbone and such.  Be more like a man?  Only reason
why i think she yells at Shinji is because he is a good eva pilot better than
her but has no backbone and accepts everything.  She is very competitive and
thinking someone like that beating her is intolerable.  Well this goes for
Ranma as well.  Ranma is becoming a good Eva pilot.  She is mad that they just
found and and now he is an Eva pilot no more than a few hours later.  What is
more is that he changes sex.  If Asuka ever found a male Pilot who seems to
act like Kenji, she would fall in love.
