		The Space Knights are all that stands between Darkon... and the
destruction of Earth.

TEKNOMAN!!!!

Darkon: Earth shall belong to me!

Blade: Youll never get this planet as long as *I* am here to defend it.

Ringo: The Earth belongs to the Human race, ad were not gonna let the
Venomoids or anyone else take it away from us!

Darkon: When I descend upon the Earth, Darkness will unfurl its banner
across yet another region of the cosmos!

(Music continues, various action scenes)

	Saber...

	Saber turned towards Darkon, and kneeled. His armor seemed more angled,
less curved than it had been previously, and gave off an almost-tangible
aura of power. However, any impression he might have made was still
overpowered by the presence of the Tekno Warlord.

	Master Darkon, with the new power you have granted me, there is no doubt I
can destroy my brother. I await only your order to do so.

	That is an order which I will not give you yet.

	Saber rose to his feet. But, Master Darkon, with this power, I will be
able to destroy him easily! You *must* allow me to destroy him.

	Saber, there is nothing that I am obligated to do for you. If you believe
yourself to be above my orders, then you are welcome to fight me. Rather
than challenging Darkon, the black-and-red armored Teknoman took a step
backward, and resumed his kneeling position.

	Better. Darkon stated. However, since you are so eager to use your new
power, I have a mission for you. There is an... artifact related to the
previous invasion of this planet that the Rhadam want retrieved... one that
could prove vital to the entire war. He gestured, and the image of a
glowing, golden spherical object the size of a tennis ball appeared.
Saber, I want you ensure that this object is in my posession.

	As you wish, Lord Darkon.	Saber replied. But what is it?

	An Iczerio energy sphere... it is what contains and suppourts the
consciousness of an Iczer.

	Kawai, I brought you something to eat. Yajin said as he entered the
research room carrying a tray. Kawai, in her Iczelion armor, turned around
from the computer to face him.

	Thank you... for your consideration. she said calmly. The pair held each
others gaze for a number of seconds.

	And then Kawais face broke into a smile. I havent had a break from this
since six in the morning. I think you just gave me an excuse to. She
picked a cup of coffee from the tray.

	Why are you wearing your armor? youre not fighting, and I thought with
the stress it puts on your nervous system, it would be better to use it as
little as possible.

	Actually, the Silver Iczelion transformation has uses outside combat.
Kawai replied. Most importantly, it prevents me from physically tiring,
and increases my IQ to almost six hundred. Which is important right now,
because Candy and Jamison have some vital technical data which they want
to process as quickly as possible.

	Yajin sat down beside the brown-haired girl. Ive always wanted to
know... how did you handle it? One minute youre a normal, if smart,
computer programmer, and the next its Congratulations, Starfighter. You
have been selected to defend the Alliance against Xor and the Kho-Dan armada.

	Kawai giggled. Just for quoting old sci-fi movies, Yajin, Im not going
to tell you.

*	*	*	*	*

	Shara, what are you thinking about? Cyan asked as the purple-eyed girl
sat, staring out the windo into space.

	Earth.  And my brother Nick.

	Well, you heard Sister Grey when she said that you were almost ready.
Before too long, youll be back on Earth, and youll see him again.

	I hope so. Though with the way things seem to happen between us, I cant
help being worried that something terribles going to happen to one of us
before we can see each other again. Shara paused, and her eyes closed.
Or even worse, just afterwards.

	I think fates been a lot kinder to you than you realise. Cyan replied.

	Whys that?

	Just look at how many times youve cheated death. You escaped from
Darkons moonbase after being rejected by the Teknopods, your brother saved
you in your fight with Saber, you got teleported into subspace an instant
before your crystal exploded, and we managed to cure your bodys
degeneration. From what I know, people whove escaped death that many times
often keep on doing it.

	Well, that *is* another way of thinking about it. Shara replied. But
Ive been thinking... my crystal was completely destroyed. Which means that
I dont have any way to go back to Earth, and even if I do get back somehow,
I wont be able to help my brother.

	Cyan smiled at her.

	Follow me.

*	*	*	*	*

	Hey, Nagisa, welcome back. Yajin said as the girl in question entered the
base. Tow did your little trip go?

	Well, I *did* get to talk to Nick for a bit. I know Jamison told me he
was almost constantly depressed, but I never expected him to be as bad as he
was. Nagisa replied as the pair walked along a hallway. Its because of
what the Rhadam did to him and his family. nobody should have to go through
that. And it makes me wonder... how many other people have lost their
families in this damn war? Apart from me and Nick, and poor little Tina,
there must be hundreds of other people whose parents, or children, or
siblings have died. I dont know how anyone could handle something like that.

	Most of them *cant* handle it, was Candys reply. Nagisa, slightly
surprised that the commander was present, turned around to face her.
Thats why the Space knights were formed, and probably why the Iczelions
were created. To try and ensure things like that happen to as few people as
possible.

*	*	*	*	*

	{Damn you, Darkon} Saber thought as he descended towards the Earth. {Im
ready to annihilate my brother, and instead you send me chasing after some
shiny bauble.} Anger flowed through his mind like lava, and he almost let
out an audible cry of anger. Instead, he gained control of himself, and
attempted to refocus his concentration on the task at hand. He hoped -
actually, it was more than likely - the Kthulhus servants would show up.
At least that way, there would be opponents he could gain some satisfaction
by venting his anger upon.

*	*	*	*	*

	Another attack? Kiri cried out in exasperation, Dont these aliens ever
give us a break? What are we up against this time?

	Nothing out of the ordinary. A lot of spider crabs, and one Teknoman.
Candy replied. Nagisa, you go with the sunlight and deal with them.
Kawai, you stay here.

	But, commander... Kawai began to protest, but Candy cut her off.

	If things get desperate, you can go, but in the meantime, its vital that
we process as much of that data as we can.

	Hai.

	Anyway, I think its reasonable to believe Nami and Kiiro will be there to
help her out.

*	*	*	*	*

	This was it. Saber was sure of it. For some reason he couldnt
understand, the place where the energy sphere was located was calling him,
reaching out to him. The location where he felt the energy spheres
presence, at the moment, was unremarkable - just more of the skyscrapers
that covered nearly all of Tokyo, a significant proportion of which had been
damaged in previous attacks. Who would have thought that such a valuable
item was buried right under the humans noses and they hadnt found it?

	He felt some slight surprise as the ball of golden energy gradyally
appeared from thin air, hanging suspended at chest height. Almost in
trepidation, he reached out to touch it, and when he did so, it seemed to
fade away. But somehow, he knew that it was with him, and would reappear
when it chose to.

	Sabers period of near-meditation was interrupted when he heard a female
voice, challenging him.

	I dont know what exactly youre doing, but I bet its gonna cause
trouble. Saber turned to face his challenger, Nami, who was flanked by
Nagisa and Kiiro.

	I think youd better leave. We really dont want to hurt you. Kiiro quipped.

	Saber laughed. Oh, dont worry about that. If I were you, Id be more
concerned about yourselves. Suddenly, his armor changed, becoming less
curved, more angular. Somehow, as the transformation occurred, he also
seemed bigger, and more frightening.

	{Uh-oh.} Nagisas Iczel sent to her.

	{What... whats he turned into?}

	{Hes become a Teknoman-Plus.  This might be more than we can handle.}

	{But we have to try.}

	Saber flew at the trio, who only just managed to dodge out of the way. He
seemed faster than he had been previously, and managed without great
difficulty to evade the Iczelions counter-strikes. Flying at Nami, he
engaged her in melee combat. Nami channeled extra energy into her beam
sword, and only barely managed to parry Sabers teklance.

	Hey, Saber, dont ignore me! Kiiro yelled, atttempting to distract him.

	Ah, you want to play, do you?

	Damn right I do. the idol singer replied. Hows this? SUPER
TORNADO!!!!!

	Kiiro launched a torrent of yellow-colored energy into Saber, and seemed to
stagger him. But that was all it did, and then Sabers fist slammed into
Kiiros body, knocking her into a nearby wall. She lay, unmoving, as Saber
advanced toward her.

	GENESIS FIRE!!! The full force Nagisas energy bolt hit Saber, and he was
knocked back a couple of meters.

	Not bad. I do hope that didnt drain you too much. Killing you first
will be more satisfying if it didnt. Nagisa desperately tried to defend
herself from Sabers attack, but her energy blast *had* drained her. It was
only a few seconds before she was knocked off her feet, with Saber standing
over her, teklance raised.

	Disappointing. Saber remarked. I hope I get more enjoyment from my brother.

	Then, Saber roared in mild pain as a wave of green energy slammed into him.
Nagisa looked up in confusion, and saw a figure the size of a nine-year-old
girl, with pointy ears and spiky grey hair, clad in a black bodysuit with a
red stripe down the middle.

	Who are you? Saber growled in annoyance.

	Iczer-3! And Im gonna make you sorry you hurt Nagisa! A pair of beam
swords appeared in Iczer-3s hands, and she and Saber launched themselves at
one another. The young Iczer parried Sabers teklance, but he hit her in
the stomach with his elbow. The strike failed to hurt her, and the pair
turned around, preparing to make another pass at each other.

	{Saber!} Darkons thoughts formed in the Teknomans mind. {Have you
obtained the energy sphere?}

	{Yes, Lord Darkon. Allow me to indulge myself in the pleasure of crushing
some insects before I return.}

	{No, Saber.  You are to leave at once.}

	{But, Master Darkon...}

	{That is an ORDER!}

	Saber broke off from the battle. I think Ill leave you alive for now.
Next time, you wont be so lucky.

	As he retreated, Iczer-3 stuck her tongue out at him. Were not scared of
you! She touned to Nagisa. Youre Nagisa Kai? My sister wanted me to
meet you?

	Your sister?

*	*	*	*	*

	Whats this room for? Shara asked. The room in question was circular,
ten meters in diameter, with metallic-blue walls, floor and ceiling, and
engravings on the walls depicted women dressed in the combat gear of various
designs, ranging from ancient to the Iczelion battlesuits Shara had seen.

	Almost throughout our races history, chambers of similar design have been
used by Cthuwulf queens when chosen fighters have been inducted into their
ranks. As you know, our queen is currently absent, and since I am
responsible for you, your induction is my duty.

	Induction?

	Iczer-One believed that you would want to return to Earth to fight, and
she took steps to ensure that you would be able to. As Cyan spoke, Shara
sensed another presence, another intelligence, somehow almost unified with
her own.

	Cyan continued. We have created an Iczel unit that is able to synchronize
with your teknopod-enhanced body. It is my hope that you can continue to
fight with it.

	I ... accept.

	Then, to defend the light and fight the darkness, I bestow upon you this
honor. As Cyan finished speaking, a metallic-green colored robot
teleported into the chamber, appearing beside Shara. Cyan smiled.

  	Now, please let me see you in your armor.

	Shara spread her arms out, feeling both the energy from the Iczel flowing
onto her body, and the Tekno-energy flowing through it.

	TEK-CHARGE!!!!

	A white bodysuit, and then metallic green armor appeared around her - a
breastplate coverin	g her torso, plus knee-length armored boots and
elbow-length armored gloves, and plates on her hips and shoulders. As the
transformation completed itself, she looked at Cyan, who had observed the
transformation intently.

	Shara, she asked, Have you chosen a name for your new form?

	Yes, I have. Shara replied. I am Emerald.

END PHASE 2, CHAPTER 3
ED: Iczer Girl Iczelion

Authors Notes: Wow! I managed to get this chapter done in less than two
weeks! Thanks, Warhammer, for motivating me to get it written ;-)

Also, who picked the movie Yajin was referring to when he was talking to
Kawai? If you didnt, it was The Last Starfighter.

Third, Im going to start to give this fic slightly lowar priority in the
near future. Theres other stories I want to do, in particular a Sailor
Moon/Galaxy Fraulein Yuna crossover and a Ranma one-shot.

Finally, The Iczer series and Tekkaman Blade/Teknoman are copyright to their
creators and/or any organizations they have liscenced. Dont sue me,
because I dont have any money.

Thanks for reading!
