Fanfiction is *illegal*, disclaimer or no.  Adding a disclaimer
provides
you no legal protection.  Palmer puts it very well:  we don't write
fanfiction, we commit fanfiction.

Doing it out of respect:  well, that's another matter.

Hang about, didn't Rumiko herself say at some point that she was fine
with people writing fanfiction? (I remember some interview or panel or
something she did that I read.) Does that make any difference to
anything?
