Actually, and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong here, I believe
fanficition is perfectly legal. Doing stuff like this with charachters,
logo's, etc. copywrited by another is only illegal if  a) You are using it to
make a profit for yourself, or b) You are using it to advertise/ promote
something. Since fanfiction does neither, it should be okay.

Of course, if you get REAL lucky, somebody in officialdom will take notice of
your work and legitimize it; every fic authors dream. I know of this guy who's
been contracted to write a Tenchi novel for Pioneer/AIC.
