Hello fellow readers.  Thanks to a friend of mine, I am now posting chapter
one of Tenchi Muyo FD.  The prelude was a lazy attempt, sorry.  I was lazy at
teh time and Ranma's prelude was really good.  Fate and Destiny is in full
swing.  If anyone has visited my website, you would have notice that Kasumi is
winning.  Kasumi's wish is my attempt at getting in the mood for chapter 5 and
6.  I have started a Ukyou get Ranma in the past but since Kasumi was now in
the lead I have delayed that fanfic and written Kasumi's wish instead.  Sorry
about the inconsisantcy with Sculd and her mode of transportation.  Lets say
with devine intervention the kio pond was hot enough for Sculd, LOL.  Special
note, I would like to take the credit for chapter two because it was a really
good but I can't, It was written by Megane 6.7.  It was a story she wrote
awhile back that I stumbled upon and thought it would accompany my story
greatly.  I wrote to her and got permission to use it.   Its original name was
One Hour.  My only contribution was adding one line to the story and the
addition of Sculd at the end.  Well stop with the babble and on with the show.

     Tenchi looked around the familiar surroundings of his home, and breathed
a sigh of relief.  The nightmare was over. After the Fierce battle with Kain,
to whom Tenchi thought was evil incarnate, he was happy to be alive.  He
thanked Kami that his mother, Achika, was able to call upon the power
inherited by all true descendant of the Juari Royal Family to protect those
she loved.  Kain had been mortally injured when his mother had focused that
energy into Tenchi-ken and increased its powers ten-fold.  It was through her
sacrifice that allow them all enough time to escape the dimension which Kain
was imprison. Her sacrificed also provided Kiyone with enough time to load and
fire the Dimensional Cannon which ended Kain's existence. 

     With his mother safe and the future secured, Tenchi could finally return
home, safe with the knowledge that everything was secure.  Tenchi sat back in
the chair at the desk in his room, and reflected on all that had happened
since the battle with Kain, and the after effects.    

     The first surprise was Kiyone, Detective First Class. Everyone had though
that she had DIED in that battle with the Galaxy destroyer or that was what
everyone assumed after Mihoshi had told them the story one afternoon in
spring. Apparently, Mihoshi *HAD* thought she had perished in the battle. It
turned out that Kiyone HAD survived on an asteroid for 3 months before being
rescued.  She was given a commendation by her superiors, and was stationed on
Jurai. This was at HER request, along with, she had told them, the desire to
let MIHOSHI THINK she had perished in that fight.  Jurai was one of the
farthest planet from any Galaxy Police headquarters.  Two years being with
Mihoshi was enough to drive ANYONE crazy and Kiyone relished every moment away
from the true terror of the galaxy.  

     Mihoshi HAD been upset when she found out the where about of her partner
but had quickly forgiven them after Kiyone was resigned to HELP Mihoshi.  No
one wanted Mihoshi near them especially the superiors at the Galaxy Police
Headquarters.

      The next Surprise was meeting his Great Grandparents.  Funaho and Azusa
were a complete surprise to him. The former carrying all the grace and dignity
that one would expect from royalty. The latter tearted him with at best
contemptible scorn. Apparently the EMPEROR of Jurai had felt that Ayeka and
Sasami were wasting their time, being with an "EARTHLING," totally ignoring
the fact that Tenchi was a direct descendant of the Emperors of Jurai.  These
facts were NOT lost on Lady Funaho whose Grimace at his antics promised a LONG
trip home for the Emperor. Fortunately for him, he had dragged along  some
overbred imbecile who had plans for "rescuing" Ayeka and Sasami from some sort
of Fate worse than death. Mihoshi�s shuttle had taken care of him. For once,
Tenchi was GLAD Mihoshi was such a horrible pilot. 

	He allowed himself a small smile, when he remembered Mihoshi once again
asking Washu to fix her ship.  Through all the hardships he had endured during
the past, deep down Tenchi was glad and sadden that he had meet Kain.  It was
because of him that Tenchi was able to finally meet his mother after 10 years.
(remind you of a certain pigtailed youth, LOL)  Though he was happy at seeing
his mother, Tenchi also thought of how through her sacrifice she would die
much earlier than expected.   

     All of this has happened since the Battle with Kain in the past. Thank
goodness everything had worked out.  Still, there was something about that
fight with Kain that troubled Tenchi.  While he was battling against Kain he
could not summon the Light Hawk Wings.  They had only come to him in times of
his most urgent need. First, when he fought Kagato. They had given him the
power to ward off his attacks and eventually kill him. Tenchi shuddered at the
thought. If he hadn't been able to summon the wings, then Ryoko and the others
would have...he left that thought hanging as he did NOT want to think WHAT
would have happened had he failed.

     The next time was when Dr. Clay had imprisoned Ayeka, Mihoshi, and
himself in the bowels of his ship. In retaliation for things NOT going his way
between Zero and Washu, he had escaped, and turned the ship into a black hole.
Again, had he NOT been able to call upon his powers, he, Mihoshi and Ayeka
would have died in the worst way possible.

        Which made the battle with Kain all the more puzzling. It WAS a life
or Death Situation, and yet, the best he could do, was wielding Tenchi-ken
against Kain.   Why hadn't he been able to summon the wings? What would have
happened if his mother hadn't been able to stop Kain? Simple. HE would have
vanished, SHE would have died, and, this house would be empty.  

     *Okay* Tenchi thought, *So what what happens now? Kain is gone, but, what
about the next time? Would I be able to call forth the power to protect Ryoko,
Kiyone and the others?* 
	
     Unsure, and scared about what the answer MIGHT be, he decided to talk to
the ONLY person who MIGHT have and answer AND was available.  He just HOPED he
wouldn't have to take off his clothes again! With a  sigh of resignation, he
got up, and went downstairs.

	The one thing you could say about the Masaki household was it's predictable
Chaos: Ryoko and Ayeka fighting, Mihoshi trying to stop them, while, Kiyone,
for the hundredth time that day, again cried about the downspiral of her
career, thanks to Mihoshi. Add to the mix, a hungry cabbit grabbing the
carrots that were being prepared for the meal, a frustrated Sasami chasing
Ryo-Ohki, and an overzealous Genius recording the data for SCIENTIFIC
purposes, and *BOOM*, you'd have thought you were in Nerima.
