l've Got That Old Sinking Feeling

    A petite redhead peered out from under the blanket in which 
she was huddled and sighed to herself. Her life was a mess. 
And now... *sigh* she didn't even want to think about what 
happened. She looked about at the other passengers of the 
lifeboat. <<Not my fault... not my fault... stupid tomboy... 
always misunderstandin' me... Why she hafta get so jealous 
anyways? Like it was MY fault that maid bumped into me. lf 
only she'd listened.>> 
    Time travel. She always despised it. But this one was 
unavoidable. Damn time pockets! Always popping up where 
they didn't belong. She hated time travel. You think after first 
few she'd get used to them, but it seemed the curse drew 
weird things to Ranma like a magnet. Fiancee`s, kidnappers, 
hentai's, idiots, crazy women, time pockets, alternate 
dimentions... There were times when it seemed like she was in 
some crazy messed up manga or that some biazarre kami 
with a weird sense of humor were writing her into stupid 
situations of all types.
    Ranma felt a small hand on her shoulder bringing her back 
to what passed for reality. She looked slowly over at her 
fiancee` who was staring at her with wide eyes, then over her 
shoulder at the slowly sinking ship beyond her in the distance. 
Akane trembled as she tried to find the words.

    "Ranma... think they'll believe the bit about the iceburg?"

Shouldn't it be along the lines of....

"R-Ranma, d-do you t-think they'll believe t-the bit about the i-iceburg?"

afterall, it was cold out there, ne ;)

I liked it. I read it twice before I could fully grasp the concept of the story.
I was a bit confused about the maid bumping Ranma tho.  I'm curious tho, how did
Ranma and Akane end up on the Titanic in the first place? Yes, you mentioned
about the time pocket and alternate dimensions, but I'm still a bit confused...
